I really like this beer. Perhaps it is a product of my affinity for the African continent, but I find this beer extremely refreshing. It is not the best beer in the world (clearly), but I don’t think it is as bad as some of the ratings it has received. It’s biting enough, smooth enough, and, if served very cold, refreshing enough for a warm afternoon in Kenya, or southern Louisiana. In my opinion: a great lager when served cold, worthy of many tastes. A bit pricey, though.

355ml bottle poured into a dimpled mug. Clear straw with a fair amount of white head. The nose evolved as the head dissipated. Aroma is slight barnyard at first, then a light floral hops, and finally a sweet malt. Flavor is slight sweet corn with a very slight hops undertone. Almost no carbonation. Very watery. Not totally unpleasant but not good either.

Wow that’s a bad sweaty sock smell. Fake sugar taste with a slight bitter and sour end. Leaves a really sour aftertaste. Not a good beer at all.

No real head worth mentioning, pours very quickly and a little like water. Nonetheless the taste is all right with grains, malts, a little fruitiness. However I find this brew somewhat watery.

A fairly average lager, but actually much better than I was expecting. The colour was not the greatest nor was the head, but mouthfeel and flavour were acceptable,

Bottle tasted on 06.13.09. Pours clear gold, white head. Aroma is very malty and sugary. Flavor is malty and hoppy and better than the aroma, but I would not drink this again.

Aroma is initially of urine with a little skunk. That settles down after a bit, but is never really appealing. Flavor is a pretty simple malt liquor, some corn, a bit of malt, not much going on. Pass, if you can.

12oz bottle: Apperance is golden brown with quick fading white head, aroma has hints of malt and spices but very weak, flavor like caronated malty water. Very little flavor to this beer but no off flavors to speak of.
