Aroma is grainy with a touch of corn. Drying to the palate. A touch peppery in flavor. Really not as bad as I thought this would be for a Kenyan beer!! Thanks Slob! | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 1, 2005 Light straw-color, head stood up like dishsoap and held different shapes when disturbed. Mouthfeel was creamier than I expected, maintaining the detergent quality of the beer. Flavor lacks redeeming qulaities. Unimpressive. leaparsons (4700), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 7, 2005 Golden in colour. Not much foam. Aromas are soapy hops - but hops are there! Flavours are inferior to the aroma - more soapy with smooth butter. Some unpleasant herbal aspects as it warms up. Basically soapy water with sparkle. Not that great even served straight from the fridge. shadow (11), Oakford, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2004 Had this beer at the Disney Animal Kingdom lodge. I guess keeping with the animal theme of the lodge and the surrounding park they felt compelled to allow the guests to sample what the animals get to drink. | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Dec 27, 2004 Bottle at Curry Fever, Leicester. Appalling Lager - not because it tastes unpleasant, but because there is hardly any flavour at all. Exceptionally pale, with no aroma. Sweeps across the palate with gay abondon, caring little for the troublesome business of having anything about it at all. Scores 4 overall for having the refreshing qualities of water - ideal when eating a spicy dish. Cornfield (4924), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 19, 2004 Better than I’d expected, especially after seeing it pour out as a sickly pale yellow color with a large bubbled white head. The aroma is mildly sweet and a bit grainy. It’s got some decent, sustained carbonation. The taste, somewhat watery, but good balance between malt & hops. Clean crisp finish. donvitozou (141), memphis, Tennessee, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 15, 2004 from bottle. i went from drinking an anchor porter to this, so there was a slight taste difference, to say the least. pours with a fair amount of head, clear inviting yellow color, clean and translucent. initial smells were muted and bland. the taste did not change much. this was similar to any generic industrial american beer, without all the scuzzy badness. it kind of tasted like africa. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 12, 2004 Large white fluffy head. Decent carbonation. Light malt, rice and corn aroma. Color is a medium gold. Flavor is light and clean. Fizzy in the mouth. Some vanilla which is nice. Soft mouthfeel. Finich is clean and smooth. Not as bad as I expected.
