I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleastantly surprised after tasting this beer. It's okay.
short lasting white foamy head. Very dry, light flavour.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal, grain), trace hops (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Had on site in Kenya, but not nearly as good as the premium version. A light beer with negligible hop presence and too much sugar to be a balanced beer. Reminds me of our Ausie beers which generally is not a good thing.

Doesn't taste BAD necessarily, it just doesn't TASTE. I was sampling this by a fire, in the virtual dark, and I could still see right through it. I thought it was a Sprite. Kenya's entry into the specialty water arena.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle (in Tanzania, so possibly fresher?) Orange color with a sweet, yet slightly metallic smell. Watery, smooth and slightly grassy taste. Not too bad given the selection of beers I came across in Tanzania, but I'd rather have a Safari Lager.
Side note: the label I have from Tanzania lists it as brewed in Tanzania, and brewed in east africa since 1923. What's funny is it also says "Its famous refreshing taste and finest quality has earned Tusker over 16 gold medals in the International Monde Selection beer awards."

Bottle. This beer commemorates the memory of the owner of Kenya Brewery, George Hurst, who died in 1923, the year after he founded the company. It is called Tusker because he was killed by a charging elephant during a hunt. Refreshing enough.

Another in the list of "I bought this based on the packaging" (my gf likes elephants.) Grassy hop notes and aroma. pale yellowy god colour, with little head. Would not buy again... to drink anyways.

Palate? What palate? My well water has more flavor than this beer. Wasn't much impressed with this beer, it had a slight fruity, sweet flavor that was gone before I swallowed. Though I suppose if you live in Kenya anything liquid and cold would be thirst quenching.
