2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A few months past the sate on the bottle. Nice and light. A decent amount of hops and malt for a light lager. Corn flakes in the taste. This is ok.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Very pale gold, lots of carb. Mild skunked hop aroma. Soapy, herb florals follow into the flavours. Apples and honey. Extremely boring but not entirely unpleasant. Tastes like sugar was added.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Palest of pale yellows. Quickly disolving head. Mild aromas,a sort of sazz hopiness. The flavour and palate are so thin, I cant believe this isn't a lite beer. I suppose if it's 104 degrees out this may be refreshing.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled: Very pale yellow coloured. Has a dense medium lasting white head. Corn, malts and sweetness in the nose. The sweetness and sugar is totally dominating the flavour. Is light bitter in the end and has a cornlike aftertaste. This is not a bad lager, and I'm sure it'll taste quite good if you're in Kenya.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, best by 10/04 (3/6/04). Tried close to 60F at S. African restuarant in Disney World. Looks like a lager, yellowish-gold, medium head with largish bubbles. Visible carbonation. Mild aromas masked by a papery sweetness, slightly weedy garden notes. Taste is light, not to sweet. Mineral and potatoe bread. Cleansing and somewhat tart on the back. A nice compliment to the savory foods served for dinner. The best Kenyan beer I've tried in Florida.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is really not bad when drank at room temperature as I am told it is served in Kenya. Easy to drink, with an herbal, grainy slightly metallic at times, perhaps some adjuncts, but truly not bad. The finish is sour and astringent.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very hoppy aroma, skunky and a bit herbal or fruity. Clear, yellow coloured with a lasting, very rocky white head. Taste is hoppy and sweet, bit watery. More hopbitter in the middle. Some sourness. Fresh, watery palate.
For an african beer, quite okay!

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Tastes like chilled yak piss. Looks like a bad urine sample and generally is a waste of a bottle. Makes me think the ppl at Labatts Blue have a good thing on their hand.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2004 Golden with a white head, i.e. it looks like every other tropical lager. Aroma of malt. Very malty, slightly sweet. Not much hoppiness, although what's there seems like Saaz or something in that family of unobtrusive lager hops. Medium body. Not bad at all. Apparently the Swahili words "Bia Yangu Nchi Yangu" on the label mean "My beer, my country."
