This one starts out with a pretty unattractive color...really light, not too pretty. The aroma is alright, and a little sweet. Flavor also has a little sweetness to it, and really isn't as bad as the look of the beer would indicate. An alright lager, but nothing spectacular, by any stretch of the imagination.

Decent malty lager aroma. Inoffensive, slightly tart, malty and underhopped to my taste. Some interesting vegetable/walnut notes. Needs a better mouthfeel, perhaps better carbonation. Terrible label and logo. I'm sure that it's better than drinking the water, and if I'm ever in Kenya, then it's a safe, known quantity.

Been a while since I've had this. But it was great after a day out in the safari bus. I thought it better than the South African's Castle

Yellow, crisp, dry finish, oh, and fizzy. A little better than the big three.

I could see downing a number of these instead of water on a hot Kenyan day. However I would prefer a good ale. This is a typical colourless, thin tasting average lager.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Almost transparent in color with little head. Typical American style beer from a distant part of the world. Low bitterness, not as skunky as expected. Refreshing if served cold on an African hot day.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
I would venture to call this an American Standard type lager, and to boot: its the best American Standard I've ever had. Almost (almost) redeems the style. Med straw color with large foaming head, fading somewhat quickly. Weak floral and grassy aromas, with a tinge of soft malt. Nothing much upfront, bracing bitterness is first taste, apparent in the finish. Light body, but not overly watery or bland, but dangerously close. Nicely clean and drinkable. Quite surprised - I had no urge to dump it.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma and appearance of a standard American lager. Smooth, slightly sweet, grassy flavor. Quite drinkable. Not much to it, but I bet it would be good under the hot African sun.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Yellow, small head. Grassy, corny and slightly sugary taste. Finishes lightly bitter and dry. Thank goodness B.C. Liquor sells everything in singles!

The story on the can is the best part of the beer. It's very light and watery. It reminded me of watered down Heineken. Very expensive. It's not worth it unless you can find singles.
