Its like the African equivalent to a bud light. No real taste or aroma but hey thats not always a bad thing. It goes down easy and mixes well with others. Dont be frightened by the elephant, I was because a lot of IPA have them (Yuck!).

A nice pilsener. Taste is a bit grassy and malty. A little bit of bitterness. Not a great beer, but a good choice in East-Africa.

Bottle poured into a footed pilsner glass. The beer is a clear gold aith a white head of foam. Good retention. The arom has a bit of corn and dried grass. Some subtle spice comes through as well. Mildly sweet. High carbonation, spritzy mouthfeel, light body.

Bottle at Internationales Berliner Bierfestival 2016. (my first one from Kenya) Clear light golden with a white head. Aroma of grass, bread and light spices. Similar taste. Sweet and light. Almost no bitterness in this one.

Originally rated on 10/1/08. Aroma is slightly sweet corn, and a little malt. It pours a pale yellow body with good carbonation, and a thin white cap that leaves decent lace. Average mouthfeel, flavor of grain and a very slight metallic taste emerges as it warms. Overall an average beer, I drank it fast when it was very cold and it was o.k.

0.355 l bottle from World Beer Museum store, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo. Pale clear, nice head. Well, well, taste is better than I expected. Not the usual tropical adjunct lager, but almost like Czech lager. Taste has malts and hops nicely balanced. No wonder this is the most popular beer in Kenya.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours pale yellow with a medium rocky white head that bubbles down to a small lasting head. Aroma is sweet grain, cereal, dusty hops. Taste is sugar sweet and watery. Finish is tangy rather than bitter. Really bland lager that reminds me of some of the cheapest Russian lagers. At least itís a new country tick.

Bottle from Andover Liquors Pour a crystal clear golden straw color with a decent sized tightly bubbled white head that dissipates quickly to a faint cap on top. Aromas of sweet grainy honey like pilsner malt and a faint floral hop. Iím a bit surprised that the aroma is so damn inviting. The flavor is lightly sweet and honey like with some faint earthy spicy hop to balance. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and slick sugary water mouthfeel. Very nice example of a pale lager, I could see some of these on a warm summer day.
