Nose has a sweet malt aroma, almost maple syrup; crisp and clean, start has a fair malt presence, thin at the top, which was expected. Finish has a pedestrian acidity, the hops mild but present, dry aftertaste, a fair to middling beer, a product of its environment, certainly better than many beers from such countries. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jun 10, 2004 Tall snow white head on a pale yellow body. Some hops in the aroma and flavor but quite thin, just as expectet. Also a slight citrusy in the flavor. Not the worst lager I have tasted but definately not the best either. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Dusty red meat aroma mixed with mushroom, light skunk and a bit of rotten fruit. Clear, light but deep yellow body with tiny bubbles throughout and a quick white head. Sweet, lightly yeasted bread flavouring. Smooth, light-medium body. Smell is complicated garbage but taste is not unpleasant. ChainGangGuy (2619), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Special thanks to AndoBrew, who brought this beer, along with many others, back from his recent trip to Africa, the Dark Continent.
Appearance: Pours a clear, golden body with a... white head? Hmm. Curious.
Smell: This smells exactly like the White Cap lager produced by the same Kenyan brewery.
Taste: This tastes almost identical to the White Cap lager. Very mild malt taste with an equally light sweetness. Hint of stale grain husks and flowers. The finish holds tastes of chicken broth and simmered veggies.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Another okay, but odd African lager! tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Bottle, expired a month ago, shared with Blankboy. Very very light yellow, small bubbly head. Faint honey aroma. Nothing. Nothing taste. Again, slightly honey sweet. Not good. Blah blah....But probably another new country. Bockyhorsey (2561), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 18, 2006 12 oz. Bottle. Aroma was skunky. Clear gold body color with white head. Flavor was like most swill with a decent balance of malt and barley, bitter hops. Discouraging part was the metalic finish to the beer. Another country added to the stats thanks to my wife the beer spotter. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Dec 4, 2006 Does not smell good at all. And frankly, doesn’t taste very good either. Funky and bad, it’s not real thin, just untasty. A new country for the list, but not a repeat. pivo (2537), Germany
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Oct 17, 2004 Light nose, but slightly farty; yellow color and a foamy head. Off, odd vegtable graininess. No bitter. Creamy, oily mouthfeel. All around pretty bad.
