Small herbal-hoppy nose...very light and clear...little flavor, bit of sweet honey-lemon, very clean (and un-skunked!) but dull and watery. The best Kenyan beer I’ve had yet! krisbierjaeger (844), dolores, Colorado, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 10, 2002 not an attractive beer. some unsavory silica-looking particles in a liquid that barely qualifies as yellow; about the degree of yellow you’d expect in a sudsy tub where a couple canaries had been bathing. a reasonable mimic of a budget bavarian pils, some aroma of saltines and lemon seeds. too dry, but manages to lock in like a patriot missile on targeted thirst, especially if you’ve just sprinted up kilimanjaro. but that’s all you get: like a discussion of bunions, it’s not even remotely interesting. weak bitter finish like they’d used the hop leaves instead of the buds. one final aspect is somewhat redeeming: you get to add kenya to your beer list. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 12, 2005 Not much action in the pour. Grassy with weird sweetness that I couldn’t place but did not grow on me. Not wretched, but unpleasantly abnormal. michael-pollack (2761), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Apr 3, 2009 12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malts, grains, dough, and water. Poured pale gold in color with a small white head that lasted around the edges. Crystal clear. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of pale malts, grains, and some hay. Light body. Tingly, then dry texture. Lively carbonation. Lightly bitter, grainy finish is dry. Flavor was better than I had expected. Tom Servo (424), Arlington, Virginia, USA

Aroma is very bland, as is the flavor. Very thin mouthfeel, watery. Don’t work to hard to get this one. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Jul 18, 2002 My favorite (and only) Kenyan beer. Made from the dung-infested waters of the Zambezi River, no doubt. A light and crisp lager thats’ got a surprising amount of hoppy aftertaste. The Kenyan writing on the label reads ’Bia Yangu, Nchi Yangu’ and that pretty sums up my feelings, too. aracauna (2427), Georgia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Pours a very pale gold with little to no head. The aroma is fairly grainy. This is very similar to the White Cap but is noticeably drier. caledonian (367), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 8, 2004 Pale golden with a trace of a head. Moderately hoppy. A little sweet. Has a finish of something I can’t quite place, perhaps grape skin. [shrug] At any rate, not that bad. Canada is maybe just not the best place to sample it. At first I thought it’d end up a drain pour, but it proved drinkable.
