1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Clear, pale yellow lager with a mid-sized, whispy, white head. Mediocre retention. Decent lacing. Who cares? Smells like a gauze bandage, but just barely. Almost completely nondescript. Tastes like seltzer water with just a spritz of lemon juice in it. Ultra light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. There is no finish... just like an old man, it has no ass end. It just stops abruptly. This beer could only be enjoyed in the 130 degree heat of Kenya. I am awarding a score above 0.5 only because the beer in not actually offensive.

Bottle. Pale yellow pour with a fizzy white head. Stale grain malt, lightly sweet, pissy, and a bit grassy. Typical cheap lager.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured from a regular bottle into a pint glass to beer. The beer had a light, clear gold color with a bit of dark sediment and a smaller, foamy white head with short retention, and light cling and lacing. Its aroma featured some grainy and barley tones along with a bit of straw and yeast. The taste was a bitter-sour blend with notes of grain, straw, and barley. It was fairly light, smooth, and a bit watery, with a thinner mouthfeel, and low-to-average carbonation. My first African beer is in the books.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Poured a clear, slightly pale yellow color with a medium sized, fluffy white head. Aroma is mellow pale malts, some light earthy and grassy malts. Flavor was light lager malts - some light sweetness. Not overtly offensive.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
50cl, very pale golden in the glass. The beer starts a bit malty, medium bodied. The mainpart is quite flat, easy drinkable. The aftertaste is quite short, not too intense. Malty with slightly sweet note, slightly bitter and easy drinkable.
--> nice easy drinkable pale lager. Not bad at all, not too deep in flavour.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500 mL bottle into a pint glass. Pale golden beer with a head that collapses rapidly, and has a bit of fizz. Typical lager smell. Malty, slight metallic tang, not too bad. All said and done its a bog-standard commercial lager.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
50cl bottle from Ambrosetti, Berlin. Pours clear golden with a white head. Moderate grainy aroma with cooked vegetables and hints of fruits. Another sweet and slightly unpleasant tropical lager. Watery and sweet, not much bitterness. Not my kind of beer, but would probably taste better in hotter climate.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Foamy white head that disappears quickly and is super clear and light gold colour. Definitely a lager aroma with a real dried hay aroma, caramel and something almost floral. On the palate it is light, easy drinking and leaves no aftertaste due to the fact it has almost no taste. Overall, not the worst beer of its kind out there.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2013 Aroma is a sweeter Miller Lite. Pour is boring - almost no head and it dissipates immediately. Flavor is watery with a slightly Hoppy finish.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
This was my go to beer while deployed in the Horn of Africa, rating from memory. Appearance is clear yellow with fine head. Aroma is malty. Taste is malty. This really hit the spot when we got off base and had it served up ice cold in 115+ degree environment. Does it’s job in a hot region of the world which is to quench thirst and give a little buzz too.
