metal, corny aroma. Metal kind of overwhelming and this was from a bottle. At jiko in animal kingdom lodge at disney. Pale golden. Metallic malt flavor. Ridiculously light and watery. Fail.

Bottle from Andover Liquors Pour a crystal clear golden straw color with a decent sized tightly bubbled white head that dissipates quickly to a faint cap on top. Aromas of sweet grainy honey like pilsner malt and a faint floral hop. I’m a bit surprised that the aroma is so damn inviting. The flavor is lightly sweet and honey like with some faint earthy spicy hop to balance. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and slick sugary water mouthfeel. Very nice example of a pale lager, I could see some of these on a warm summer day.

Jan. ’16. A 0.5 l bottle from Prosi Exotic supermarket. It poured a yellow body with small head. Stinky corn and grainy aroma. No corn listed? Flavor was lightly sweet, hay, lots of it. A bit of cucumbers, too. Thin to medium bodied with moderately long sweetish grainy/eggy finish. Not extremely bad, just an average pale lager with weird notes. Well...

A friend brought me this from Kenya. Very pale gold with a small white head. Light grain aroma and flavors. Not the worst I’ve had.

Bottle @ Peculier Pub. Clear pale yellow with very small frothy white head, faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, little malt taste, almost no hops, watery body, abrupt finish. This could only be a substitute for water under the fierce African sun!

Bottle. Light golden color and medium white head. Mild aroma of hay, grass, and malt. Light sweet taste. Light body, mild hop presence. Decent lager overall.

Bottle-purchased at one of the "clubs" while on this deployment Pours very pale yellow hue with a small fizzy white head. Nose of grains, oxidization, malt husks, corn, cereal, and other adjuncts. Flavors are pretty oxidized as well. Mushy grains, lots of cereal. I have definitely had better wild lagers than this. I don’t even think this would be that much better fresh. WIth that said, I now have Kenya off my list.

minutemat (3841) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2016
500ml bottle @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Bought purely and simply because it was a new country tick, despite seeing this in the fridge here many many times and not giving it much thought. Pours clear gold, white head. Aroma is musty malt, straw. Taste is an initial pale malt lager character but with distinct, offputting oxidised wet cardboard notes coming through which makes it incredibly difficult to finish. So I left it.

12oz bottle picked up at Belmont Portland. Pours out a crisp clear pale straw topped with a white head. nose is cream of corn grassy hops and some wheat. Taste is more of the corn and light sweetness and some spice. I have had worse.
