Billed as 100% malt brewed. All this means is that they havenít added cornstarch like they do with regular Tusker. 12oz bottle pours a totally clear, very faint yellow with a foamy head that fades fast. Nose is vaguely sweet, a little grass, some faint yeast, a little honey, white bread. Flavor is fine, lightly sweet but not sugary, some light bread, some light yeast. Fairly straight forward. Watery finish. I like that this doesnít have an artificial sweetness to it, but that said, thereís isnít alot happening anyway.

Surprise present from my dad. I saw that it was a Kenyan lager and I almost didnít even want to try it. Being the ticker that I am, I gave it a shot, and this is exactly why we donít judge a beer by its location...Appearance nothing to note...Aroma is light and sweet, corn, but youíd expect tons of skunk and none is present...The aroma is light and sweet, not at all a typical lager. This isnít a great beer but it exceeds expectations for a lager and a Kenyan beer.

Bierkrug (2109) - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, GERMANY - JAN 26, 2011
330 ml bottle in Kenya. Color is a very light yellow with good carbonation and a light head. Aroma is a light sweet malt scent with a hint of skunk which is most likely from being in a green bottle.Taste is sweet and malty. Starting with medium body that goes down with creamy feel. The finish is a sweet malt flavor backed by a light bitterness. Itís got a common taste, like most of these types of lagers.

This was much better than I thought it would be. Much better than the regular Tusker as well. A little bit of sweetness. Serving: Bottle

Itís an average beer. Whatís awesome about it is the fact that comes from an exotic place...

Bottle at a restaurant in Nairobi. Has a sweet scent of hops and sugar, a little alcohol and some maltiness. Looks like any other light lager, nothing special there. Has a refreshing taste of hops, and though quite watery, has a dry finish. Itís a decent lager but not exciting by any stretch.

Bottle at The Stanley, Nairobi. Light yellow with a large white head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel) and hoppy. Flavor light/moderate sweet and light bitter. Light/medium body. They have used the finest malts from around Mt. Kenya.

blankboy (5798) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2008
Bottle (300ml) shared with HogTownHarry -- courtesy of garthicus. Pours a clear pale gold with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of grassy hops (saaz?), sweet pale malt and corn. Flavour follows the aroma, is a bit watery and has a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Not bad, if I were somewhere with a poor selection of Lagers and this were available Iíd choose it.
