Draft. Golden-amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and summer fruit aroma. Caramel and summer fruit flavor with grapefruit. Medium bodied. Caramel and summer fruit lingers with grapefruit. Very nice hoppy pale. Could drink this a lot.

Tap at Tustin, A nice way to finish an evening of drinking, but this one is mild and bland a suitable beer for those venturing to the hop side, but not enough punch and too much malty finish for me.

On draft. Clear golden pour, with a white head and some lacing. Moderately hoppy aroma, with flavors of caramel malt, bread, light hops, and some citrus. Not a very interesting pale ale, rather bland.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Fruity and lightly piney hops, with light malty sweetness. Bright and clean and drinkable, with great hops flavor and not a ton of unnecessary bitterness. All those nerds below me clearly don’t know how to drink beers, with one was pretty damn good.

Sparkling gold color, white head. I smelled some hops in this along with biscuity malts. But the flavor left me wondering where the hops were. Malty with spent hops on the finish. Meh.

On tap at the brewery during RBSG 2012. Pours clear pale gold. Metallic hops, light fruitiness, mostly a plain malty brewpub beer. Other reviews called this very hoppy but I just don’t see it.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp peachy and light grapefruity. Bitter, dry grapefruity and mild peachy. Bitter and lingering fruity finish.

On draft at the brewpub. It pours golden with a white head. The aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. The flavor has nice notes of pine and citrus. Good mouthfeel. Huge hoppy finish. Hop utilization is really stellar here. Nice one.

03-Nov-10 (Draft: Tustin Brewing Co. in Tustin, CA) This beer pours clear, amber-gold color with half an inch of off-white head and lacing in a ring at the top. Classic style-driven aromas of grainy, cereal malts and piney, citrusy hops. Dry cereal malt base is initially balanced by piney and grapefruit-rind hops with medium-plus bitterness. This bitterness builds over several sips and sticks to the palate for a finish that goes on and on, leading to a highly bitter aftertaste. Medium in body and medium in carbonation, and the fully attenuated malt base is very dry. Overall, this is a very hoppy pale ale in the West Coast style, but it’s a bit too bitter for me and needs better malt follow-through in the finish.
