Snifter at the brewery. Rating #3. Hazy dark gold and copper color with a small white head. Nice aroma, rich maltiness and toasted caramel. Light oxidized flavor, mild hops and bitterness and pretty good overall. (2571)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Pours a vibrant yellow/light orange with very small white head. Aroma is slightly citrus with a nice DIPA profile coming through. Taste is all malt, caramel, oak flavor and some very, very diminished hops. Really tastes like a 4 year old DIPA that has sat in a closet for a few too many summer days. The aroma was nice to start out with but the flavor was not there. The end is a bit boozy/vanilla, which is nice, but doesn’t make up for all the short comings here.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an orange color with a finger of sticky white head. Lots of fresh citrus aroma on the nose and plenty of pine, too. Good malt sweetness to it, too. A nice touch of caramel and sugar. The flavor isn’t quite up to the level of the nose. It’s fairly bitter, but there isn’t much hop flavor and the malt is prevented from really coming through. A little bit of fruit to it as well as a hint of sugar. Not bad, but not great either.
