GABF 2008. Hazy amber gold. Rich buttery vanilla oak scotch aroma, mild peaty smokiness. The flavour profile reflects the aroma, with an oaky entry, velvety smooth rye malt base, and a smokey woody dry finish. A little on the sweet boozy side (as many of these barrel-aged beers tend to be) but very well done.
