Tap at the brewpub in late May 2008: Pours a cloudy orange bronze with a dense, frothy well-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet malted wheat with a touch of light citrus tartness and bready German yeast. Body starts with decent fullness and wheaty sweetness with a touch of clove and a nice balance of sour lemons. Finishes crisp and semi-tart with a mildly bready complexity. An authentic and tasty Berliner Weiss.

Cask. Cloudy, light yellow color. Tart aroma hints of citrus fruit. Grassy, wheaty flavor with underlying yeast notes. Sour finish, but doesn’t pucker the lips.
