KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 22, 2008 Draft. Pours a clear, amber color. Large white head. Smoke and peppery aroma. Flavor is a bit sweet at the start. That doesn’t last long as the smoke really takes over. This gives way to the peppery finish. The hotness doesn’t coat the tongue, but it definately opens up the sinuses. Another interesting treat from Twain’s. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 11, 2008 Date: 04/09/2008
Mode: Firkin
Source: Brewpub
Appearance: hazy orange, creamy tan head, bits of drippy lace,
Aroma: light spicy peppery aroma backed by lightly sweet caramel malt,
Body: creamy body,
Flavor: flavor starts off with the sweet caramel malt and then the wave of peppers hits for a friendly smack in the face before subsiding into a long slowly fading pepper finish, eventually you saturate to the peppers and it becomes better balanced between the sweet caramel and the hot peppers, light earthyness with a hint of smoke adds additional balance, peppers tickle the inside of you nose towards the bottom of the second glass,

NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Apr 15, 2008 On cask as "Chipotle smoked rye pale" Pours cloudy copper with a tall white head. The nose is wooden in nature with hints of peppers, light ham, tobacco, and toffee. A sip surprises me with a pronounced capsicum burn. The rye malts are noted along with oak, tobacco smoke, and earth. I theorize that the cask really helps this beer by giving it an appropriately creamy, still quality which really compliments the bizarre flavor. This is certainly one of the strangest beers I’ve had in a long time and I really enjoyed it. shp555 (1677), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 12, 2008 Pours a copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is rye, a hint of peppers, and some citrus hops. Flavor is malty, rye, and a smoky peppery spicy finish.
