tap. Pours an opaque, medium brown, light tan head. Aroma of a warm ginger bread house. Flavor has a hop bitterness, along with the sweet spice on nuts at Oktoberfest. Rich grain, sweet malt character. Overall, it reminds me of the small, merange covered gingerbread bits you’d find during the holidays. Spicy with a slight sweetness. Isn’t this what little girls are made of?
8,5,9,5,1 Oakes (8077), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 6, 2009 Bright, light brown. Fun nose - ginger, molasses, subtle clove, nutmeg, mace. Very appetizing. More harsh, though, on the palate with astringency from the abundant spice. Thankfully, there’s a nice molasses note underneath to help out. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Feb 4, 2009 Copper-brown. Clear but deep color. Off-white head, lacing. Gingerbread aroma is subtle and nice. Got molasses, spice including cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Bready flavors don’t come out enough for me. Ends up seeming thin with odd bitterness in finish that doesn’t integrate. Spiciness also vanished and some burnt flavors emerge. Didn’t like it as much as the others. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jan 20, 2009 Appearance: Clear, medium brown body topped by a small, white head.
Smell: Aromatic smell of gingersnap cookie batter with a tiny bit of caramel. It’s literally burdened with a generous dose of spices.
Taste: Flash of lightly sweet pale malts with a touch of grain before you’re tongue is knocked down by the punchy spice character. Again, it’s very much like a gingersnap cookie. Ground ginger powder, cinnamon, and vanilla sugar. The flavor remains cookie-ish and spicy until the very end.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: While it does make for one tasty pint, two might be overdoing it. A little goes a long way. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jan 18, 2009

jrob21 (1252), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dec 24, 2008 I am usually not one for gimmicky beers and this one is up there. When they call it a ginger beer, they mean it. Goes with the christmas/holiday season here but I do not think I could drink more than one of these. Spicey aroma with some cinnamon and a bit of ginger. The ginger flavor is verry apparent and almost overpowering in the flavor. Pours a dark muddy brown with a frothy but quickly fading off white head.
