Draft. Pours a nice dark amber, some haziness. Thin, white head. Aroma of gingerbread and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is quite hoppy, but the spices really shine. Very well balanced. Really interesting beer, woud drink again.

I’ll start off by saying that this was a very clever brew. It didn’t just taste like ginger in an IPA, it actually tasted like gingerbread in an IPA, so I’m guessing he added the other spices involved to get those flavors going as well. I was thoroughly impressed with that aspect of the beer. However, I think the spicing clashed with the ample American hop bitterness. I found myself the battleground between the two sets of flavors on multiple occassions during the pint. I’d recommend trying it, but I’d probably not go for a second pint.

hazy amber, lasting fine off white head, solid webbed lace, sweet gingerbread aroma with cinamon and other gingerbread spices along with a yeasty fresh bread character, lots of ginger and nutmeg flavor balanced by strong bready character, light bitterness from the spices, only a bit of sweetness, the perfect gingerbread in a glass, the bread character with the spices makes just the right combination, the spices get to be a bit much after a while

lots stronger on the ginger and cinamon, less sweetness makes the spices come out all the stronger

Score: 3.7 to 3.4

hazy copper, thick creamy beige head, sweet ginger and cinamon aroma with light bready malt, lots more spicy flavor than the original batch, heavy ginger and cinamon, still the bready malt but the heavier spices take away from the cake like sweetness from the original batch,
