4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Cybercat (2519) - Georgia, USA - APR 6, 2013
Comes out of the tap a clear, beautiful honey golden - not much head, but that must be an artifact of the pour. Aroma is robustly hoppy with an undertone of fruit, both citrus and pomme, and a sweet hint. Hearty flavor is very hoppy but only a little bitter; notes of fruit and malt and a little sweetness come through. Lively, edgy texture has plenty of body, more than most IPAs I have sampled. Mark this twain - the brewers can make a Clemens that this is a darned toog iPA.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 yespr (26474) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 5, 2013
From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is crisp hops fruity, peachy to grapefruity. Fruity, crisp hoppy and citrusy. Bitterand smooth fruity finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ChainGangGuy (4132) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Appearance: Lightly hazed, copper-esque body with a near white, modestly-sized head.
Smell: Aromatic wafts of pine, spruce. Pronounced enough that, if somebody admitted it was some sort of additive, I would likely buy into that. Toasty pale malts, a little grainy.
Taste: Pale malts, with a slight toasted grain hint, and dosed with a bit of almond sugar. Initially, a touch of citrus juice, but, then, BAM. Straight up pine boughs. Moderate bitterness. Dry, bitter, and, still, quite piney finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Pine!

About a third citrus a third pine and a third spice. Perfectly tuned to work in a delicious drink. All of this is paired with a nice malt body background. A very nice smooth and easy to drink ipa.

This beer was way too bitter! I’ve discovered that I really don’t like IPA’s. The aroma and color were fine.
