On tap at the pub. Big body here with a bunch of lemon and a touch of banana and spice. Pours a clear yellow color with a nice white head. Some band aidish hops on the back of the palate but subtle enough to not turn me away.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2012 Served to a snifter from Brad’s secret stash at Lunar Brewing Co., showing a hazed, light golden hue, a modest amount of bubbly creaminess that formed a persistent ring & film, and left equally lasting spots & streaks of lacing. The aroma was light yeast, soft malt, light fruitiness, and citrus as grapefruit, a touch of tartness, and a wisp of hop spiciness. Effervescent and medium bodied, the flavor presented some zesty but mellow citrus, medium bitterness that was mildly peppery, slightly syrupy but light sweetness, an alcohol presence that gradually built up strength from initial sip to finish, and a pleasant dryness that also followed into the finish. The grapefruit zest influence may have waned a bit since the initial crafting, but I found this Tripel to be flavorful, nicely balanced, and well worth the wait. Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy pale yellowish gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a decent amount of sweet grains with a bit of light fruit and citrus and just a hint of clove. Flavor begins with light citrus and is joined by sweet grains and a bit of grassiness.
