A smooth amber session ale with a complex malt base that is complimented by the use of Citra, Australian Galaxy, and Australian Summer hops. This nice clean ale finishes with a hint of bright hop.

Twains Tasting Tray Beer #3. Citra scent prevails in this beer which, appropriately enough, pours the color of a hazy sunset. This beer is well hopped for an amber giving it a pleasing slightly bitter flavor to balance out the malts. All around decent beer. Draft - Twain’s - Decatur, GA

On tap at Twain’s. Pours light golden amber with a white head. Aromas of toasted and bready malts, light hop citrus, and some caramel sweetness. Flavors of sweet and bready malts, light hops presence, and some caramel. Did not get any of the Galaxy hop notes I was looking forl.

Appearance: Golden-amber body in hue, fairly clear, with a slight, white head depositing a light lacing on the descent.

Smell: Earthy, floral, faintly lemon-hinted hops ahead of the toasty, caramelly malts.

Taste: Toasted breadcrusts with a likable caramelized element to it. Medium-light sweetness. Earthy, lemony, lightly herbal hops with a moderate amount of bitterness. Drying, floral-lemon finish with still a slight undertone of earthiness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied (barely). Medium carbonation.

Overall: A pleasing, balanced, refreshing amber ale.

Draft at the source. Hazy amber color, small edge head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is burnt and nutty caramel lager.

Cask @ ACAT - Pours amber with minimal head. Taste was smooth maltiness, but agressive citrus hops. Lots of hops coming throughout the lasting bitter finish. This was one of the better Ambers I have ever had. Well done Twains.

Cask at ACAT. Pours a clear golden amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice light citrus hop notes with a touch of grapefruit and a sweet grain backing. Flavor a light grain backbone with some light citrus and a bit of pine. Drinks well.
