harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England May 19, 2007 Cask gravity at Ealing BF 2007. I missed out on this at Reading so decided to have it here. Gold with slight haze, very thin white head. Slight fart, overridden by hop on aroma. Very decent in mouth, good sherberty US hop. Doesn’t drink it’s strength. Good hop finish. Very citrusy. Not a bad beer, needs a bit more body. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England May 9, 2007 Gravity Cask @ Reading Beer Festival 07. Pale. Sweet and spciy. Zesty fruit and a sweet finish. Could do with a bit more hop but pretty good considering the strength. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England May 7, 2007 A Sim rate (cask at Reading BF): Nice hoppy citric aroma. Similar flavour. I could down this beer! Tastes like a stronger version of the shadies my grandad used to make me as a kid... and I mean that in a good way. chriso (4683), London, Greater London, England Mar 27, 2007 Cask (gravity dispense), Ealing Beer Festival, May 2006. Clear gold colour. Very pungent herbaceous, juicy, floral hop aroma. US hops are obvious in the big grapefruit rush on the palate. Bags of flavour. Quite sharp and bitter, but backed up by juicy fruit and light biscuity malt. Excellent. Almost APA in character.
Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England May 16, 2006 Cask at Ealing Beer on Broadway, 2006. Clear gold and sparklingly clear. Hop aroma. Sweet, thick malt and plenty of hops to taste. Another hoppy beer from the brewer, this incarnation being quite alcoholic. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England May 16, 2006 Cask@Ealing Beer On Broadway. Liked this one. Sappy/piney orangey hop characters. Slightly sticky (but pleasant) hop characters, yet fairly smooth. Finish is slightly warming and bitter, this is quite close to a true IPA in flavour, quite hoppy indeed.
