500ml bottle: BB Jul 2015. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 23rd April 2015. Teakwood red body, slight haze, with a clinging beige head. Subtle (or weak) biscuit malty nose and taste, some mild fruitiness within the flavours too. Not as exciting or flavoursome as I hoped from this well respected brewery. Nothing wrong with it, just not what I expected.

Cask @ The George On The Strand, London. Copper with a malty nose, but a much more interesting malty-fruit taste.

Cask gravity at the 2015 London Drinker beer festival. Light amber / dull orange with a greyish speckled head. Aroma is grainy , tobacco, weed, fairly subdued. Flavour is composed of grainy slightly stale grains, more weed, spicy hop, little citrus. Lingering cereal grains and bacon crisps. Palate is medium light bodied with some grainynes on the tongue, decent cask condition. Bit light maybe.

bottled. pretty assertive Bitter, nice caramel roast notes. deep ruby red with nice ass cream head. As a style I don’t like much now, this is a more enjoyable chill offering

Bottle. Brownish beer with a strong off white head. The aroma is lightly bitter, the flavour is very bitter and hopped with dryness. Overall a nice bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle version from Oddbins. Bottle conditioned although it doesn’t say so on the label. Nicely balanced bitter, malty and hoppyness comes through. Excellent for a British bottled beer.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Cannie Man, Bracknell. Pale chestunt with a thin cream head that laces the glass; delicate citrus aroma; soft caramel taste, not too sweet, and with a light bitterness; before a dry bisuity finish. A satisfying bitter.

(cask) clear golden-amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of citrus fruit and light hazelnuts, slightly green and yeasty, with a hint of pepper and some caramel. flavour is mostly the same, lots of lemon peel and yeast, some more hazelnuts, light grain and a semi-dry herbal-hoppy finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.
