Gravity cask at the Strongroom London beer fest. Pours clear, yellow gold with a mild, frothy white cap. Doughy pale malt nose, hints of hay. Light sweet flavor, more doughy malts, white bred, light straw bitterness, hints of lemon and cereal. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry and butter to finish, further simple sweet and doughy malts. Simple and drinkable golden ale.

Dominated by grassy hops with some biscuity malt and a hint of citrus. Very drinkable, enjoyable session beer.

draught - fruity, watery start with a very hoppy bitter finish. Not great.

Cask @ The Defector’s Weld. The pour’s light gold with a tight white head. The aroma’s some peach, apricot. A bit of wet grass, straw. Notes of citrus fruit. The taste is zippy, sweet citrus fruits. More lemon peel, some grapefruit. A bit of custard, sugar cookie. Mild toasted grass and grain. Some concord white grape juice. Light body, fine carbonation. Really dialed-in, well-integrated flavors. Overall, a great golden ale.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham, 16/02/13.
Clear pale golden with a thin off white head that clears to the edge and remains in bubble form.
Nose carries a touch of Burton snatch, light sulphuric eggyness, background fruits.
Taste comprises pale malt, citrus, light sugars, lemon sherbet.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, pleasant on the palate, crisp bitter finish.
Decent refreshing fayre!

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, earthy and mildly caramelly. Flavour is fruity, floral, mild herbal and yeasty notes along with some citrus.

Cask at the Magpie & Crown, Brentford, England on 2nd April 2012. Crystal clear gold with off-white full-lacing foam. Lemon zest and fruit in aroma. Fruity in-mouth, with floral hoppiness and increasingly bitter with each sip. Initially rounded finish also acquires this bitterness, and the mouthfeel is on the dry side. You want another after finishing.

Fader sowie trockener Antrunk, der mit muffigen Noten kaum Lust auf mehr macht. Auch der Hopfen, der kurzzeitig neuen Schwung bringt, entäuscht. Labngweilig milder Getreideabgang. 6/5/6/4//5

Half, from cask (gravity)@The Rake, London. Headless. Clear copper-brown body. Modest, but pleasant aroma of toffee and yellow apples. Taste has a soft and light malt character. Toasted bread and toffee. A fine fruitiness and peppery hops is lurking under. Softly carbonated. Very easy on the palate. Mild and balanced finish. Good stuff. Moreish.

Cask (gravity) @ The 16th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2010, Reading, Berkshire England.
Clear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, cat piss notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100429]
