COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Greenville Pale Ale is a traditional American style Pale Ale, rooted in the Pacific Northwest brewing heritage. The light colored medium bodied ale uses whole flower cascade hops with all natural two row barley malt. This produces a light Pale Ale that explodes with rich full flavor. This refreshing ale has an immediate floral-citrus taste that comes from using the cascade hops.

On draft at the Craft Ale House. This is the beer that got the night started at the CAH, and it was a great start. This APA really satisified and refreshed. It poured a dark golden color with a white head. The head left ample amounts of lacing around the glass. The nose was crisp with lots of hoppy notes, along with some pine, earth and grass. The body was extremely drinkable, with lots of crisp and spicy hoppy notes. The finish was rather dry and spicy. This was an extremely enjoyable APA.

Draft at Craft. Wow, the RSD is high here, and I will resample this one next week. Pour is dark straw toward copper with nose of heavy Simcoey hops, sweaty female asscrack aroma, plus caramel malt, florals, and peppery. Tastes hoppy, on the sweet side, with a light and not very complex palate at all, and very unbalanced. After the nose, the flavor was a letdown, and i wonder why I sensed Simcoe when Cascade is the main hop here. Not bad, just not as good as the aroma would lead you to expect.

On tap at Six Puapers. There was a white head on top of a dark gold body. It left very nice lacing rings. The nose is full of piney and citrus hops, with a little bready malt. The taste is well balanced, nice piney and citrus hops with a good bready/biscuty malt background. This is a very drinkable beer.

On tap at Cromwells. Red/amber color, generous frothy head and very nice lacing. Citrusy hops aroma. Strong orange flavors dominate up front, with roasted malts in the background. Resiny hops win out in the end with a crisp and dry finish. Preferred this to the pilsener.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2008 Draft at Washington street Ale house: Nice red amber color. Aroma was a small amount of hops. Flavor was awesome amount of citrus and floral hops, nice bitterness to it. Good texture, pretty smooth. Over all a very enjoybale beer. I wish it wasnt served so cold, it probably would of been more enjoyable. ******UPDATE*****Just had it on draft at the brewery even better! Classic hop flavor, overall a solid beer! Thanks to all the guys at the house!

Darft @ Cromwell’s Tavern. Pours a golden/copper color with a huge frothy white head. The aroma citrusy hops with some mild grassiness. Flavors are sweet clemetine oranges, with some light malts and a light, resiny hop finish. A solid APA.

On draft at The Six Paupers. Pour was an orangey golden color with an ok initial head, weak retention, ok lacing. The aroma was orangey, some other citurs and floral notes. The flavor was orangey malty, followed by orangey citrus notes, very light floral, and a fairly zingy spicey hoppy finish. Mouthfeel was full bodied, average carbonation, substantial malty presence. A nice beer.

On tap at washington street ale house. Poured a light copper color with small white head. Aroma was hops and a roastedness to it. Well balanced, had a bizarre funk in the finish.

On tap. This was a good American pale ale--tasty, bitter, and with no objectionable qualities. This is the second high-quality beer I have tried from Twin Lakes. I don’t think this is as outstanding as their Pilsener though.

On tap-at the Brewery. Clear copper color w/a slight off white head. Nice aroma of hops w/a little bit of roasted malt. Had a nice flavor of hops without being overpowering. Had some roasted malt flavor as well. Only a slight metalic aftertast kept it from being rated higher. Long finish.
