COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Greenville Pale Ale is a traditional American style Pale Ale, rooted in the Pacific Northwest brewing heritage. The light colored medium bodied ale uses whole flower cascade hops with all natural two row barley malt. This produces a light Pale Ale that explodes with rich full flavor. This refreshing ale has an immediate floral-citrus taste that comes from using the cascade hops.

Tap. Pours hazy golden amber with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is medium malt (toast, grain, meal), heavy hops (perfume, earthy, spicy), and light fruity esters. Flavor is medium malt, heavy hops, medium bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, light warmth.

Draft at Craft. Wow, the RSD is high here, and I will resample this one next week. Pour is dark straw toward copper with nose of heavy Simcoey hops, sweaty female asscrack aroma, plus caramel malt, florals, and peppery. Tastes hoppy, on the sweet side, with a light and not very complex palate at all, and very unbalanced. After the nose, the flavor was a letdown, and i wonder why I sensed Simcoe when Cascade is the main hop here. Not bad, just not as good as the aroma would lead you to expect.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of generic hops and generic malt. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy dense tan head that diminished and barely lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Ok lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of generic malt and generic hops. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt and hop finish. Very boring, generic, uninspired APA.

Amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grass, floral hops some toast and light caramel. Taste of grassy, herbal hops, some toast, light citrus, and some bitter grapefruit in the finish.

On tap at the Standard Tap. Pours a lightly hazy amber with golden notes and a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, light caramel and a nice grainy maltiness. Flavor of orange, floral hops, caramel malt, lightly sweet hop notes and a touch of hop bitterness. If they made a hop candy it would taste like this. One of the beer Pale ales I’ve had in some time.

Pours hazy gold into a pint glass. Bright white micro head with good retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Mild sourdough and resin aromas. Sweet caramel and candy corn upfront turning to a sour, bitter resin finish.
