COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Greenville Pale Ale is a traditional American style Pale Ale, rooted in the Pacific Northwest brewing heritage. The light colored medium bodied ale uses whole flower cascade hops with all natural two row barley malt. This produces a light Pale Ale that explodes with rich full flavor. This refreshing ale has an immediate floral-citrus taste that comes from using the cascade hops.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of generic hops and generic malt. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy dense tan head that diminished and barely lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Ok lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of generic malt and generic hops. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt and hop finish. Very boring, generic, uninspired APA.

On tap at the Standard Tap. Pours a lightly hazy amber with golden notes and a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, light caramel and a nice grainy maltiness. Flavor of orange, floral hops, caramel malt, lightly sweet hop notes and a touch of hop bitterness. If they made a hop candy it would taste like this. One of the beer Pale ales I’ve had in some time.

Pours hazy gold into a pint glass. Bright white micro head with good retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Mild sourdough and resin aromas. Sweet caramel and candy corn upfront turning to a sour, bitter resin finish.

On tap, Look is pale lager with a nice creamy head. Smell is a little sickly, almost putrid but in a nice kinda beery way, heheh. Bitter first taste. Has a sort of weird fruity or sterile something going on here. Almost plastic or artificial, certainly unique. Yes, a strong APA fer sure.

Can: Weak aroma of whole orange. Hazy amber, medium billowy yellow head. Sweet for the style. Orange soda initially, but finishes more malty and beery. Marshmallow also present. Not cloying, but again too sweet for the style. Possibly artificial.

On tap at Hooked, OCMD. Mild malt aroma, light fruity-floral hop notes with a bit of biscuit. Medium golden dark amber hazy with foamy lacing off-white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Moderately sweet start with caramel, neutral fruit, and a bit of Belgian flair. Finish is medium bitter with lingering sweetness.

Johnny Brenda’s, Philadelphia tap: Pours copper with a white head. Aroma is mostly piny hops. Taste is much the same. Somewhat bitter, with an aftertaste of the same. Body is pretty light bodied. Not bad, but pretty forgettable.

12 oz can. Murky orange brown with a bumpy off-white head. Nose is orange juice and green hay with hints of soap. Fluffy medium body with a buzz, oddly thick. Taste is lemon-lime, grass and honey; kind of muddled. Finishes dry, doughy and metallic.

Serving: Draft at Catch 54
It pours a deep gold color with a small, white head. The nose has notes of pine, slight citrus notes, a bit of caramel, and a bit of earthiness. The flavor highlights the use of hops, but not overwhelmingly so. The pine and citrus notes balance well with the caramel and pale malt notes. Light to medium in body with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Easy to drink, this APA is a good every day brew.
