Nine different malts were blended to create a nutty, chocolate and coffee flavoured mild, topped off with a smooth vanilla finish, making this a delicious beast of a dessert beer.

Keg at the brew tap on opening day, 20/06/15. Fine iron-dusted mint chocolate and burnt grain nose in the kostritzer zone. Glossy pitch with a yellow cream collar. Chocolate humbug and schwarz-like grain; burnt milk tones, slightly chargrilled veg. Excellent, balanced and complex ímildí tipping into stout.

Bottle. Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Slow gusher, which wasnít expected! Lear, dark red. Loads of lumps. Thin, bubbly, tan head. Mild malts. Cherry stone. Light roast. Taste is woody, and ashy dry. Thin palate. Too much fizz. Finishes fruity dry.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo. It pours near black with medium a beige head. The nose is roasty, toast, dark chocolate, coffee and light vanilla. The taste is roasted malt, charred wood, light bitterness, coffee, nut, mild acidity and earth a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty nice all round and a promising start to these guys.

Lovely dark colour with a slight hint and a little carbonation when pouring, rich chocolate roast aroma to go with it. The taste is very roasted and malty and leaves that as an aftertaste, slight hints of vanilla make it a sweet taste as well, if you can get this while itís available I canít recommend it enough.
