Bottle. Hazy golden with a fluffy off white foam. Lots of tropical fruit. Quite juicy chewits with floral pine and oranges. Bready, yeasty body with nutty cracker malts. Soft but tasty citrus bitterness on the finish. Very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Cherry Reds (JBS), Birmingham. Poured cack-handedly by my good self, resulting in loads of chunks bobbing up and down inside the glass. Taste was great - fruity, juicy, chewy, sappy. Good stuff.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2015 1) 330ml, Beer Gonzo. Sorry, tried to add this as a session IPA but I just couldn’t do it. Burnished orange with an initially high white foam. Nose kumquat, lemon sherbet, some souring rhubarb, deep grassy suggestions. Big Mallinsons fruit Salad chew hop flavour with hairy chlorphyll, red apple, melon, blackcurrant and robust underpinning monkey nut malts. Hugely balanced and likeable; the tropical-husk combo puts me in mind of Mallinsons, dare I say Kernel. Chewy and complex at modest strength. Shit, maybe ’session IPA’ actually does exist after all. Fine brew. Just need a third Cov micro and we’ve got a scene going...738315.
2) If this was Wiper and True or Mallinsons I’d be singing about it, so why not? Enticingly perfumed waft of Fruit Salad chew, guava, passion fruit and peach and satsuma jellies pushing a 9. Fine soapy and floral hop flavour swaying with dragon and passion fruits over a sensible rock solid chaffy malt base. Lingers with delightful insinuations of roasted nut and belched flowers. Slightly cheesy and pissy in its hop intensity. Best brew yet out of Cov?
