This is a surprising beer! Get one if you can. Pour it over ice cream if you dare.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this beer in Manzanitaís tasting room. They served this stout in a glass so warm it felt like they had burned a candle in it, so the beer wasnít able to give its best interview, but it still showed off some serious attitude. Peppermint candy and warm chocolate undertones collide in a dessert brew that would make for an amazing beer float. Night Before Xmas has the appearance of a pantherís coat; itís black, silkiness indicative of the stoutís rich flavor. A good bet to be a future Manzanita favorite.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at brewery. Dark black pour with dense sticky tan head. Nose is chocolate and mint. Taste is Lotsa peppermint with chocolate and cocoa behind. Fear of overpowering mint faded immediately. Becomes just a piece of it, not the focal point. Well done.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Huge spearmint and light peppermint and chocolate aroma and taste with some candy and roasted grain notes and a bright lightly sticky palate. Really quite a nice beer.
