COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A favorite of many coffee-loving beer drinkers, Big Shot Espresso Stout boasts about a shot of espresso in every pint. It pours jet black with a rich creamy brown head. This World Beer Cup winner has roasted coffee and grainy malt aromas. The earthy, dark chocolate flavors of the espresso showcase the flawless balance of the beer. It’s rich and strong like a good espresso, creamy and smooth like a good stout. The ultimate breakfast beer.

Opaque brown, head dissipates a little too quickly. The aroma is coffee and roast grain, stronger on the exhale after a sip. Surprisingly sweet at first, then the dark roast bitterness and coffee flavor follow. Long finish, like an espresso shot with sugar. My new favorite lawnmower beer.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle. Opaque, brown-black with a 1-finger brown head and good lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, roasted malt and sweet licorice. Taste of espresso, semi-sweet dark chocolate, licorice and roasted malt. Medium/light body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very espresso stout. About as coffee is palatable in a beer. Rich as dark. Thick beige head and a dark character. Ends on the thin side.

Coffee notes on the aroma. Appearance is jet black with a thin tan head with poor retention. Coffee dominates the flavor, but it added an odd flavor that lingers on the finish. The malt flavor is one note and its oxidized. Mouthfeel is thin with medium low carbonation. There is also a harsh astringency on the end. Overall, it's a poorly made beer. Either the type of coffee added and/or the technique used to add it needs to be modified. The beer also lacks complexity and oxidized. Doesn't taste good at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bomber bottle, pours black with a thin tan head but lovely lacing. Full aroma of espresso, some bitterness, roasted malts. Taste is largely espresso, bittering coffee beans, but enough roasted malt to keep it a beer. Smooth with a hint of bittering hops at the end. Pretty good one here.

this does for stout what Coffee Bender did for brown...for those who like a little beer with their coffee. I’m sure there was stout underneath somewhere, but it was hard to tell. awesome (if you like espresso) aroma of stright up iced espresso. bittersweet and smooth. would be awesome for/with breakfast."

650 ml. Pours jet black with a lasting film of creamy bubbles. Aroma is at first espresso and sourish cream, but turns unwisely to scorched toast. Taste shows dark chocolate, dark toast, vanilla and coffee. Turns to a milk chocolate and tart blackberry finish. Medium body is watery and has a pleasant, low-medium carbonation.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a medium beige head. Aroma is espresso and dark roasty malts, a touch of soy sauce. Flavour is fairly bitter espresso with a sweet malt to balance, a bit of lactose. A little light bodied, but flavourful. A pretty nice espresso stout.

Bomber. Pours black with a large chocolate head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of espresso, coffee, milk chocolate, and black licorice. Big espresso, fresh roast coffee and smooth milk chocolate with a hint of black licorice. Big creamy texture, full bodied, medium-low carbonation, amazing chocolate and coffee finish. Very, very good beer!

From a bomber. Pours inky black with a thick brown head. Smells of espresso, of course, and of cocoa and some vanilla notes, too. Tastes of long-roasted coffee beans and malted barley. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
