This light-bodied ale has an amazing chili aroma that jumps out at you. We infuse this beer with fresh Serrano, Habenero, Jalapeno, Anaheim, and Fresno chili peppers. Surprisingly, the chili flavor is strong but not overpowering and comes through without lending too much heat. Billyís Chilies is a very drinkable beer and pairs perfectly with chicken, steak and especially tacos. It finishes dry with a spiciness that will leave you thirsty for more.

Pours a pale light yellow, light flakes and with almost no way of producing a head. Aromas of peppers (green and banana peppers LOL) with some grain and almost reminds of a sweet pepper sauce (duck sauce?). Flavors of green chiles, green pepper and light grain. Canít drink this one to fast! Mostly the peppers dominate on the aromas and flavors. The heat is medium but can increase fast if to much is drank all at once. My first pepper beer (not including black pepper). Leaves a light grain/peppery/ hot aftertaste.

I must be in the minority to be one to appreaciate a pepper beer. Pours a hazed medium yellow. Pepper aroma, roasted red pepper, pepper vegetable. Taste is smooth then pepper then some heat on your lips back of throat and upfront some. Has some malt but pepper overpowers most any malt flavors. Good heat. I like it though I would like to say its hard to finish one sometimes and I wouldnít have more than one and on occasion. I think it would go good with a hotdog and would like to try it with tacos. Pretty good pepper beer. Nice heat.

Bottle. Pours a gold body with some small chunkies floating about under a fizzy white head that vanished immediately. The nose is a full on assault of chili peppers, smells like a freshly cut jalapeŮo. Zero malt makes it past all these peppers. The flavor is pretty well the same as the aroma, lots of chili pepper and minimal pale malt. The finish is actually pretty hot and burns a bit in the back of the throat. I can tell this guy is going to give me some heartburn. Itís not up there with Ghost Face Killah, but itís much more aggressive than some of the other chili beers Iíve had. Light bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation that enhances the burn. Not sure Iíll finish this guy.

Man do I hate chili beers. Donít know why I even gave this a chance. Tastes just like a jalapeno pepper; has a late spiciness. This is not a flavor I like in beers and I will never seek it again. I donít know how people like these kind of beers..........

Pours slightly hazy golden blonde with very little head that dissipates completely after a few seconds. Aroma is sharp of fresh chopped hot peppers. Taste hits right away with hard spice and average beer underneath. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazy apricot yellow with some tiny bits of sediment and almost a finger of off-white head that doesnít last. Light carbonation flowing up the glass. Aromas of hot peppers mainly, light citrus. Tasting notes of spicy peppers, lemon and orange citrus. Medium-light body with a semi-dry slightly spicy finish and light heat that lingers in the throat. Nowhere near as hot and spicy as Ghostface Killah.

12oz bottle from Crossroads. Damn this is hot, do these guys make real beer or just novelty heat seekers?? This one poured a very light honey amber bodr body with a larger foamy off white head that had average lasting power. Aroma was fresh peppers, grains, sweeter honey topped breads, corn and dry grass. Body seems to be medium but with this heat itís a bit hard to tell as everything is rather hot. Flavor is the same as the aroma, with a touch more pepper heat, and more ligering pepper hottness. This is good but hotttttt.

Bottle, twist-off crown. I approach this as a fan of their Ghost Face, though that position may end up hurting me if I underestimate this as a little brother. Nothing but earthy, green, really organic and vegetal peppers in the nose, lightly smoky and inviting, but the latter really only as a food source. Pours clear pale yellow with average carbonation and a fizzy white head thatís short-lived. Light body but not watery, the swirl of the first sip in the mouth doesnít make an impression, but the really flavorful and immediate mild burn in the throat certainly does. Again, green and earthy, lots of rich little wrinkles and flavor developments, the blend of peppers seems expertly chosen and is really the strength of this beer. Even has a clean, bready finish! Calm, simple mf, not nearly as oily as I expected, but the base beer does what itís supposed to do, support and then get out of the way. I love the balance here despite the growing strength of the heat with accumulated volume, and despite warnings I think I could drink several bottles of this in an evening, and without going slowly. They really dialed the levels in perfectly, just nailed it. Fresh and delicious!
