COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light-bodied ale has an amazing chili aroma that jumps out at you. We infuse this beer with fresh Serrano, Habenero, Jalapeno, Anaheim, and Fresno chili peppers. Surprisingly, the chili flavor is strong but not overpowering and comes through without lending too much heat. Billyís Chilies is a very drinkable beer and pairs perfectly with chicken, steak and especially tacos. It finishes dry with a spiciness that will leave you thirsty for more.

On tap at the brewery.Aroma is very chili forward with a balanced note of green chilies and spicy chilies. Not much malt character or hops gets through the chili. Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow with a thin white head with pretty good retention. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is like the aroma and dominated by chili?s without much else. The chili note is complex though with spice and many different chili flavors. Light wheat notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Spice is pretty high upfront but it doesn?t linger too badly. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall an enjoyable chili beer with a lot of chili character. The base beer is fairly lacking, but I think that was purposeful considering how light of a base beer they chose. The chili complexity is really nice though and not one dimensional at all.

Smells like queso dip. Squat, twistoff west coast longneck, throwback 50ís-style label. Misty maple colored beer, not much head. Lightly sweet, dominated by a serrano dry heat. Technically pretty good, but unenjoyable. Iíve never really met a pepper beer that I liked - theyíre only fit for cooking. Medium light body, Anaheim green-ness over the slow burn. Iím just waiting for this to scald my urethra. Proof Bottle Shop.

Golden, small head, vegetal chilli on the nose, then on the palate a big hot chilli note swamps everything else, thereís not even any bitterness detectable through the burn. I wouldnít even pair this with hot food as it would confuse rather than complement.

Bottle at the Great Charlotte green chili food and drink orgy. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma of chili flesh and black pepper. Taste is steady heat, light body. Nice aroma, but one-sided flavor.

Itís not pretty to look at but has a great taste. If you eat a lot of hot spicy food youíll enjoy it. Iíll say it reminds me of jarred salsa, in a very good way. Itís a "Must Add" to the party cooler. Appearance-wise, itís cloudy yellow with no real head, but serve it in the brown bottle and itís a party. My second biggest criticism is that the cap is green and everything else is blue; come on marketing dept - snap out of it. I will buy more of this to serve and take to parties -- for sure.

Appearance: pours with no head, it's a cloudy gold color Aroma: strong jalapeño, not so much the spicy side more of the outer shell smell Taste: jalapeño without spice, then the spice hits, pretty spicy without being unbearable, peppers, Palate: high carbonation, light body, leaves a spicy hot aftertaste Overall: while not painful I think it's a bit hot for a session beer, interesting and good, glad I tried it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light watery beer. Flavors of bell pepper, corn, mild malt. Mild spicy finish, almost peppercorn -like... I love chilies but this is not for me...

Novelty beer smell is fresh cut peppers, taste lingers in back of throat with a little burn.

Light amber pour with a huge white head that goes away very fast leaving the beer flat and still looking. Aroma is of wheat, weeds, and chiles. Flavor is a little acidic, but with wheat, and the heat from the chiles comes late. I could drink a few of these, but its more of a novelty.
