2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. An unclear golden beer with a medium light orangey head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chili, that tears in the nose. The flavor is sweet malty with a nice medium strong chili note - not too much, but it still leaves a slight chili burn on the palate and tongue.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft pour at the Colorado Plus Pub. Rating from my notes. Pours a cloudy peach yellow color with a patchy oily head. Wonderful spicy pepper aroma. I honestly believe I can detect all 5 peppers here. It’s officially a 5 alarm beer, and I love it. Mild pepper up front with a slow transition to a spice finish. Very well done. I love pepper beers. I can’t help it. Nice sweeter balance to this. Loved it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pale hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma has meaty peppers that seem quite heavy on the serranos and some pale malt hiding underneath the pepper aspect - nice for what its trying to do. It has a medium / light body with a bit of crispness and mild carbonation. The flavor is mainly peppers, but it is not overly aggressive or spicy, it has a lot of the pepper flesh to it. The is a bit of the pale malt going on and a veggie/corn sort of flavor, but I’m guessing that is actually an aspect of the peppers used. Don’t think I’d want to drink a bunch in one sitting, but one bottle is pretty nice if you like a bit of spicy bite in a beer from time to time.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
If you ever wanted a beer that smells and tastes like a fresh jalapeño, then look no further. Billy’s Chilies managed to really hit the nail on the head with this off-beat beer. I wish it were a bit spicier, but it is otherwise everything I hoped it would be. It is a little bit of a reversal having one of these with mild food rather than a generic beer with some spicy food. It is absolutely worth trying at least once, and I will be looking to keep some in my collection, but I’m sure it is not for everyone...as evidenced by the average rating.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is not an every day beer, gives a real chilli kick in the aroma and flavour. For small doses only

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear golden pour with strange floating sediment. Aroma is peppery to say the least. It burns your nose. If I had to pick a particular pepper from the flavor profile it would be Habanero. It all blends together after a few seconds. Not as hot as an actual habanero but it sure as heck burns going down. I wish I would have had it with tacos or a Mexican dish. Points for originality. If you drank a sixer of this you will probably get an ulcer.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Unique but pretty "unbeer" like. The pepper flavor really stands out in the aroma & certainly in the taste! It kind of burns going down & leaves a pretty strong aftertaste. I appreciate the originality here!

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Holy hell this beer is a piece of crap. It smells like Tobasco sauce and cardboard and is full of gross yeast chunks and garbage. It tastes better than it smells but that is a different things than it tasting good. It’s not too hot and some slight sweetness brings out the fruitiness of the peppers. There chili pepper beers now that take the idea beyond a novelty these days so I just can’t see the need for something that tastes like a bland blond ale with peepers added wily nilly.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sample at Kurtkeller 018: Tequila-aged and Let’s Agree to Ruin Our Evening with Pepper beers-tastic 01 on 11/04/2014. Hazy golden color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Chili peppers and malt in the nose. Light to medium body with a fairly strong jalapeno character and some biscuit malt behind it. The finish is spicy with a peppery aftertaste. Middling one-note beer overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Where’s a murky golden color with vegetable matter floating throughout. A short white head forms and retains fairly well. Hey huge fresh chili nose is noted. Medium bodied with sufficient burn on the back of the throat from the chilies. A bit of butter in the flavor but dominated by fresh chilies. My wife said I should have saved it for the chili we’re having tomorrow night.
