Hoppy Boy India Pale Ale is the flagship beer of Twisted Pine. It has a rocky white head, hazy pale orange color, and hoppy citrus aroma. It has a dry, tart taste with an earthy bitterness. Cascade hops provide pleasant grapefruit and citrus notes. This classic American IPA is brewed with medium caramel malts that play off the citrus and orange rind hop flavors to make this beer most enjoyable.

Sampler at Twisted Pine. Appearance: slight white head, good lace, golden yellow, clear. Aroma: floral, caramel, nut. Palate: sticky texture, light body, very bitter and metallic finish. Taste: sweet caramel, blends to nice bitterness growing to too bitter and finishing metallic. Overall, very unique IPA, do not like the metallic, but other than that it is pretty neat.

Bottle; nice orangish copper look. This is a good representation of what one should expect with an IPA. Malt hop balance is very good. Very nice aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Pours a clear light amber with a thick cream head. The aroma is hoppy and sweet. The taste is pretty smooth, medium body with a dry finish. Overall mild with a light hop character, not bad.

Can courtesy of my stepmom at their annual Oktoberfest. Pours a clear gold orange with a thin white head. Soft citrus and hops, bits of citrus, slight malt, citrus hops, gentle earthy qualities. Malt and a bit of citrus. Touch of bitterness on the finish, grapefruit.

Appearance - hazy orange color Aroma - not much at all Mouthfeel - medium carb bite. Smooth Taste - very light. Like a super light IPA. Smooth and light weight start but almost nothing at the end. Funky aftertaste. Overall - kinda sucks. A bit boring. Seems almost like a pale ale with boring and funky aftertaste. This sucks.

Pours a golden color with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is crystal malt forward with grassy and citrusy hops, some sort of weird stinkiness lingers in the background... but itís tricky to name.

The flavor isnít half bad, itís nicely bitter... itís not overly sweet, sígot some lime and orage citrus, some grassiness. A bit much on the caramel malt.

Didnít hate it, wouldnít buy it again...
Is obviously a shelf beer.

On tap. Amber with a fluffy off-white head, aromas of pine and a little citrus, then a big malt and citrus body with a touch of herby wintergreen in the finish. Well balanced and very tasty - an excellent example of a classic near-historical IPA with an American twist.
