COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy Boy India Pale Ale is the flagship beer of Twisted Pine. It has a rocky white head, hazy pale orange color, and hoppy citrus aroma. It has a dry, tart taste with an earthy bitterness. Cascade hops provide pleasant grapefruit and citrus notes. This classic American IPA is brewed with medium caramel malts that play off the citrus and orange rind hop flavors to make this beer most enjoyable.

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Golden amber color and clear with a lacy white head. Citrus fruit, pine, grass, earthy and bitter. Similar flavor with some sweet caramel malts balancing things out. Medium bodied with a lingering finish. Not bad.

Bottle; poured a clear and dull orange. Oroma of earth, caramel, citrus and orange. Crisp flavor; some nice hoppiness with good balance of caramel. Solid.

Bottle. Pours a murky amber with a foamy white head that leaves a lot of lacing behind. Aroma of sweet citrus hops, malt, sugar, and a hint of pine. Taste is mild, a little bitter, of clean citrus hops, orange peel, and a little malt. Lingering watery bitterness. Drinkable but too light.

The aroma is very nice much like an English style IPA. Likes nice too, hazy amber with a thin white head. Something in the taste was off. Some weird metallic tang. Thin finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz can pours a translucent, burnt orange with some creamy, white head. Nose is noticeably piney - even from a few feet away, very soapy, some orange peel, a little grapefruit peel too. Flavor is fairly standard, mostly orange peel, some lemon, pine, caramel, a little cracker, some soap. Medium, slightly bitter finish. Not an award winner, but just fine as is.

Pounder->SA. Copper with medium frothy white head. A: sweet malt, citrus, mild hops. Taste is bittersweet pine and citrus hops. Astringent. Unremarkable.

Poured amber. Moderate to thin body. Judging by the name I was expecting more hops than this brew provided. Thin finish. Passable, but prob wouldn’t reach for it again.

This is a good beer, it just needs a new name. I expected more hops from it. It's tasty, but the hops level in this would a akin to a Baconator with 2 strips on it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a nice dark golden. Aromas of sweet caramel. Malty. Sweet malty flavours with a nice hop bite. I liked this.

Bottle into a nonic pint. Pours gold with a persistent, fluffy white head. Loose lacing. Big fresh citrus aroma. Lost of orange and lemon zest. Slight cereal. Taste is assertively bitter, big on the citrus with a nice malt balance. Very smooth mouthfeel, but a nice dry finish. A really great, obviously underrated IPA.
