moejuck (1111), Ohio, USA May 4, 2007 Bottle on the reccomendation of Boboski. Good call bro. Lots of raisins, some alcohol, and milk chocolate. Black body with a medium head. Full and very creamy mouthfeel. Lots of great milk chocolate tastes up front, followed by some wood flavors, with a wonderful light citrus hop finish. This is easily in the stout category. Great brew. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA May 3, 2007 Thanks to boboski.Aroma is dominated by the chocolate.Pours black with a medium tan head.Lots of bitter chocolate and some nice hops stand out in this very nice flavor.Very full mouthfeel with a solid chocolate finish. GreatLibations (1294), Sasquatcho, Arizona, USA May 7, 2008 A true classic in every sense. Pours dark with a decent head tha leaves a ring of lace around the glass. Strong coffee roasted chocolate aromas spew forward. Full nectar with superb carbonation. Heavily roasted with dark chocolate malts steal the show allowing a few nuances like nuts, coffee, and cake bread to make their cameo’s. The finish is bittered exquisitely leaving gobs of coffee roasted cocoa to deal with. This brew is very rich and only mildly sweet. Very well balanced and definitely savory. Malted milk balls with dark chocolate instead of milk. Highly recommended. CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 6, 2003 Dark brown color with a thick tan head. Rich soy, plum and brown sugar aroma. Taste of sweet brown sugar and roasted malt in the body. Smooth, robust palate masks the alcohol quite well. Great complexity and balance make this a very enjoyable and flavorful brew. Marc (472), Yokosuka, Japan Feb 28, 2005 Marshmello, raisons, chocolat malt, and a little carmelized date. Deep brown body with a thick oily tan head. Touches of mollases in the mouth with roasted grainieness and some herbal hops, and a touch of toffee. Finishes grainy and chocolaty.
