COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Reilly’s Oak Whiskey Red gets its distinguished flavor from aging in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels for up to one year. The aroma of bourbon jumps out at you, followed by delicate toffee. The flavor is rich and complex, with slight vanilla, oak and caramel. This medium bodied ale has a lovely pale ruby color and creamy, off-white head. The finish is clean with a slight warming sensation.

bottle... medium brown with a some amber, murky, light tan head forms a ring... the aroma is light, thought it would be much stronger, a whisper of bourbon is nice and smooth, generic toffe on the finish, nothing bad, just too light and boring... this beer is just off, seems slightly infected with a tart bitter note, flat but a terrible mouthfeel, mostly rye, no bourbon, just not a good combo

tastes more of a sour ale than an irish. its a beautiful beer ill tell ya that though. just doesnt taste like an irish.

Bottle pours a hazy red/brown with an off white head. Scent is woody with some tart notes. Taste is sour with wood notes. Different.

This beer has some odd tastes that don’t work for me. It is sweet and nutty with oak and sour/tart flavors.

Bottle. Poured a darker reddish amber color with a very small tan head that was gone shortly after the pour. Aroma was oak, vanilla, and whiskey. Smelled real good, then I took the first drink. Meaty, fruits, flavors just didn’t go. Whiskey wasn’t really there, very thin. Below average. And Irish Ale for the style? I don’t think so. Below average.

Hazy reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of whiskey, grains, caramel and mild bready malt. Taste is a bit rough, doesn’t come across too well. Sour whiskey, caramel, light vanilla and oak and notes of fruit. Meh.

This one just isn’t right. Nose is candied pecans, slight hints of bourbon, and odd funkiness with a bit of a hint of tartness. Taste follows the nose rather closely, slightly sweet and yet definitely off, tart and just kind of off in the finish. Not terrible or undrinkable, but certainly not good.

Very hazy and deep red and brown color looks cool. A smallish tan head. I wish the aroma were bigger but it offers whiskey and wood. The flavor has all kinds of stuff going on but it doesn’t work together all that well. Sourness, chocolate, rye, prunes, toffee, wood, and bourbon. Even though it is very flavorful and complex, I am not a fan.
