3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours black with a slight tan head. Aroma is dark malt. Med + body. Flavor is bitter dark malt and chocolate. Develops a little nutty oiliness with time. Like nut in nut brown ale, but sort of peanut. Sort of. Tastes good.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Twisted Pine. Black pour with a tan head. Kind of a watery aroma. Bland, roasted malt, and a touch of coffee. Maybe a touch of peanut and chocolate. Flavor does at least seem to have some peanut and chocolate to it. A bit thin/watery on the palate. Roasted malt, coffee, and a light sweetness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has nice roast and dark chocolate...very faint pb here but minimal. Flavor is one dimensional...dark chocolate roast...slight and pleasant peanut butter as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is roasty/chocolatey and lingers with nutty roastiness. A nice stout but MORE PB!!!!
