Muddy brown. Opaque. Thin film of a head which dies quickly. Peaked look, there are chocolate powder particles floating on the top 1/4 inch of the beer, like a milkshake that wasn’t stirred enough. Nose is chalky cocoa powder and mild vanilla extract, nothing more. No malt definition, no aromatic hops, no yeast character. Flavor isn’t much different, but the chalkiness is heavy and the grittiness of protein powder is present. Dry, coarse powdered cocoa is pretty much all I get out of this, an artificial and messy creation.
