3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 trevor211 (916) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 6, 2012
From a can. Pours a dark copper, and aggressively carbonated -- huge head on this one. Mild nose, with a good balance -- sweet grains under the predominant mandarin and pine notes. Mandarin, a bit of mango, and some floral notes in the flavor, which is very hop-heavy. Just a little sticky, and the only thing that’s really knocking it in my book is a slightly soapy note up front. Overall a very tasty effort from a new local place.

After the lucille I just had this falls a little short on hop profile. Still a pretty drinkable and sessionable ipa. Citrusy orange hop aroma and an herbal finish with a nice subtle sweetness working throughout.

355ml can pours amber in color with a huge frothy white head which left some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is dominated by citrus hops. Taste seems to be more floral hops and some citrus with a malty sweetness in the finish. Medium body and carbonation leave a pleasing mouthfeel. This is an easy to drink, but surprisingly flavorful IPA.

Can. Dark orange with lots of floaties at the end of the pour, covered by a thick off-white mattress. Aroma is citrus and pine. Sweet marmalade flavours, pithy citrus bitterness in the finish. A little sweet, but nice.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Nena (957) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 25, 2011
Hazed coppery orange, white head. Definitely smells like my kind of IPA right off the bat. Lots of floral aromatics and citrus. A little caramel and toasty grain on the body, not too malty and pretty dry overall. Light bodied, lots more of that floral and citrus, grapefruit rind, moderately bitter pine finish. Nice stuff, lots of hop character with just the right level of malt backing.

Bomber. Dark orange with gold highlights and a solid inch of pillowy off-white head. The aroma is a typical IPA blend of floral hops, pine and citrus. The taste starts with a strong dose of bitter, herbal hops and earthy malt characteristics along with some grapefruit and orange citrus toward the end. Carbonation is strong and the finish is bitter and tangy. Overall, could use a little more of a caramel malt presence to balance out the spicy citrus and bitter hops notes.

(22oz bomber) Courtesy of Enniskillen. Pours a large white, frothy head atop an orange body. Nose is rather orange. The flavor comes off as astringent and tinny. Not to my liking.
