Thanks to michaelinwa for the trade. Pours a murky dark orange-amber color with a small amount of head. Malty aroma for an IPA but the hops are there too. Lots of caramel malt and toffee mixed with the grassy and floral hops. More citrus flavors come out in the taste. Slight sweetness, light bitterness, smooth beer. A really nice IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to 5000 for sending this can my way. The beer pours an orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma is full of toffee and grass notes, with not much else coming through. The flavor is more pronounced. I get a lot of the orange and pine notes from the hops, as well as some biscuit malt and a low to medium amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Appearance is a hazy amber supporting a healthy thick head. Smell is sweet with the caramel malt with piney hops and citrusy fruit. Taste has the sweetness from the malt and a bitter "twang"if you will, from the hops and yeast. Mouthfeel is light medium with good carbonation. A little off in the flavor profile with the twanginess, but still has that base for an IPA.

Can purchased from refrigerated section of a Plaid Pantry in Portland, OR. Smells like couscous and rice pilaf - zero hop aroma. Flavor is bready, toasty, buttery (diacetyl), and bitter, but not floral, citrusy, fruity, earthy, piney, or in any other way indicating a great presence of hops anywhere but in the bitterness. Thge excessive maltiness, coupled with the severe fermentation-related off flavors just make this beer a big piece of crap.
