On tap at Darby's. with a very sexy friend on a surprise visit. He's munchin on food. Talking to my wife. This beer is fine. Slight floral, pine, and caramel. Good dry finish. I'd drink again.

Draft. Cloudy amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of honey, fruit, floral hops, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. A lot of floral hops and citrus in the taste along with strawberry and caramel. A different tasting IPA. It borders on syrupy, though.

On tap @ The Virginia Inn. Can’t believe I’ve never rated this before. Pours slightly cloudy orange amber with thin creamy head. Aroma is bitter peppery hops. Taste is lightly sweet caramel malt with juicy grapefruit and pine hops. Nice lingering bitterness. Excellent local IPA, fresh and balanced.

Taste: moderately sour, grapefruit initial flavor and heavily bitter, hoppy finish with long duration. Palate: medium body with oily texture and soft carbonation. Overall: interesting flavor. An outstanding IPA.

12 oz. can purchased in small town southeast Alaska. Hazy amber, white fluffy head with great retention, aroma of red candy-like sweet hops, reminds of Dogfish Head 90 minute. Flavor is sweet and syrupy but bitter. A definite fruitiness to the hop followed by bitter, but not as citrusy. If I knew my hops better I might guess what they used, but I’m not sure. Different but good.

Bomber: Heavy hops and malt aroma from the bottle. Pours very dark for an IPA with huge thick off-white head. Really nice balanced hop and malt aroma from the glass. The head clings for its life. The flavor is milder than the aroma. Bitter finish, malty and hoppy up front. Appropriate mouthfeel but seems a little under-carbonated, which seems strange considering the fantastic head. Very drinkable, but I would prefer a more rounded flavor, as in hitting all parts of the tongue with something. Tasted at 53.6F.

22oz bottle picked up at JB’s in Spokane
Appearance: Pours clear amber with a mediums sized creamy off-white head that stays put and lots of sticky lacing as you drink
Aroma: Caramel and fruity
Taste: Tart malts, caramel, dusty, cardboard with a bitter pine finish
I had high hopes from the hops on the label and the great appearance in the glass, it just didn’t deliver.

22oz bottle courtesy of Harrymel. Dark amber-orange, hazy, good creamy head that laces the glass. Smells pretty good, very hoppy but a fruity hoppiness not so much dank or pine. Flavor is nice and fruity as well, easy to drink. good stuff. This is a good Northwest IPA and I wouldn’t mind another! Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-25-2011 00:42:41

Big DIPA like nose. Lots of Citrus and pine. The body is lacking, though the trad IPA flavours are all there. Citrus, pine, toffee biscuit malt body. Solid.
