Poured from a 22. Doesn’t really have an aroma to it. Flavor is very light, almost Bud-like. As the beer warms there is a bit of dankness to it.

Draught at Rokko Beer Garden. Opaque, dark gold. Aroma has tangy grapefruit with some floral notes. Fruity start, quickly dry and bitter. Very nice.

Draft at Fiddlers. Poured pale, almost gold. Sweet and citrusy. Somewhat floral, a bit soapy. Taste on the sweet side, surprisingly restrained bitterness. Overall: my least favorite of the night’s IPAs.

Can. Solid IPA from a good brewery. Coppery and cloudy, slightly floral nose. For me, the first sip was disappointing, but the second erased that impression.

Not the best IPA but definitely a nice brew. Pours a dark copper colour with a thin head of off white bubbles. The aroma is hoppy with grapefruit up front and notable caramel and toasted malt notes. A nice sweetness with light fruity hop notes and floral accents. Good malt to hop balance. The finish is moderately bitter and a bti astringent with lingering grapefruit and a bit of resin smack.

Bomber from Hayduke. Deep golden with a big creamy head that lasts a long time. Big fruit and caramel aroma. Eat your face off bitter. Huge grapefruit to begin. Citrus and tropical fruit flavors are dominant. Some grass. This west coast IPA is heavy on the hops and that bitterness. Caramel is under and I am happy it is. This beer needs sweetness. Flavor and bitterness says it is a double and I am surprised to see the lower ABV.

12oz can pours copper with a rocky white dissipating head and frothy lacing. Aroma is of pine and juniper. Flavor is pine resin and mild citrus, with a mildly pithy and pleasantly biscuity finish. Carbonation is light and body is watery though. Would be great in the summer.

Can. Copper pour, with an off white head. Caramel, toasted bread, bitter citrus rinds, herbal, and snack mix. No thanks.

Big burst of hops up front in aroma and taste, then fades quickly, kind of metallic. Sweet malt takes over when hops fade. Lots of promise, but lacking overall

As soon as I crack the tab on the can the aroma comes gushing out. Popping with juicy sweet fruits and floral hops. That fades and it becomes more grainy and caramel malts. Stays relatively sweet though. Oh yeah, the appearance: deep orange amber. Nice white head dissipates eventually to a simple cap, but laces up nicely. While the aroma was more sweet, the flavour certainly presents the bittering side much more decisively. Grapefruit and orange rind. Finish is pithy with a touch of the juicy note promised on the nose, gives some service to the caramel promises made earlier as well. Lastingly bitter. Small carbonation tickles more than it dances. Smoothe and drinkable. Bitter finish coats things in a pleasantly warm manner. Into it.
