I am an IPA drinker and keep come back to this as a regular beer I drink often. It has all the characteristics of a great IPA; bold, flavorful that leaves a great after taste.

Very solid West Coast IPA coming from an up and coming brewery in Seattle. Nice aroma with grapefruit hints. Great hazy orange appearance. Wonderful taste with a smooth finish. Definitely recommend. Give it a try when you see it, you won’t be disappointed.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2011 Tap @ Collins and Parkway. Clear orange pour with a short white head which leaves a heavy lace. Nose is a mix of caramel malt and pine hops with a touch of flowers. Medium body is toasty, caramel and nicely flavored with predominantly resinous, flowery and some citrus hop aromas. Finish is medium and bittersweet. I really like this IPA, one of my favorites from a PNW craft brewer. If you can find the infused version, gobble it up! Update: had a bottle of the initial bottling release (wax-sealed and tagged) that was bought 3 weeks prior. Most of the delicious hop flavor persists, but it slightly reduced over a fresh keg. Rating unchanged.

Courtesy of riversideAK. Bomber pours clear deep copper with off white head. The aroma is full with yummy citrus hops and some tropical fruit notes as well as flowery floral sweet cotton candy and spicy hops. The floral note seems a bit out of place but the other yummy notes sure make up for it. The taste is the same with an initial pulse of citrus hops, tropical fruitiness, spicy hops and some floral hop notes all running amuck across my palate. It seems to move from bitter hops and to flavor hops and then back to bitterness and then hop resin into the finish. Nice and hoppy where the floral seems a bit out of place much like in the nose. Good stuff.

Hazed coppery orange, white head. Definitely smells like my kind of IPA right off the bat. Lots of floral aromatics and citrus. A little caramel and toasty grain on the body, not too malty and pretty dry overall. Light bodied, lots more of that floral and citrus, grapefruit rind, moderately bitter pine finish. Nice stuff, lots of hop character with just the right level of malt backing.

22oz bottle courtesy of Harrymel. Dark amber-orange, hazy, good creamy head that laces the glass. Smells pretty good, very hoppy but a fruity hoppiness not so much dank or pine. Flavor is nice and fruity as well, easy to drink. good stuff. This is a good Northwest IPA and I wouldn’t mind another! Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-25-2011 00:42:41

Super hazy copper coloured body with a nice brown coloured glow and a thick, five centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and resinous hops with a noticeable alcohol bite at the end and some good herbal and bitter notes and a touch of sweetness. Medium-bodied; Very grassy and herbal hops up front with a kick from resinous and grapefruity type bitterness, a light sweetness and a good but perhaps lighter malt backbone. Aftertaste shows almost pure hop bitterness from the grassy, piney and floral hops - not much else to distract from this. Overall, a nice and rather hoppy (especially for 70 ibu) IPA with not as much malt, but works well in this case. Nice to try for hop lovers as this is more focused on the hop side of things and gets the balance all wrong, but in this case, it’s nice! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Pear Delicatessen in Seattle, Washington [state] on 11-February-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 28-June-2013 - definitely a nice beer to bring home across the USA.

Hazy amber orange, frothy beige head. Aroma of pine, herb, tropical fruit. Taste is nice, good malt balance with bitter resin. A nice surprise beer.

12 oz. can purchased in small town southeast Alaska. Hazy amber, white fluffy head with great retention, aroma of red candy-like sweet hops, reminds of Dogfish Head 90 minute. Flavor is sweet and syrupy but bitter. A definite fruitiness to the hop followed by bitter, but not as citrusy. If I knew my hops better I might guess what they used, but I’m not sure. Different but good.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no canning date. Pours cloudy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, orange rind, tangerine, pineapple, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with bright hop notes and a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, orange rind, pineapple, floral, grass, light pine, bread, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Moderate earthy floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, citrus rind, pineapple, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly crisp and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice hop flavor balance and complexity with moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
