Nice west coast dbl ipa! Poured a nice hazy copper with a lingering off white head! Blasted by citrus hops in the nose really fools you as take a sip, and you run into a wall of bitterness! I really enjoyed this ipa!

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver; 7.8% ABV
Cloudy orange color with small head. Nice aroma of hops, delicate, citrusy. Dry, lean, toffeish, with strong bitterness, soft resins, and plenty of citrus fruits. This 1˝ IPA is fresh and dangerously drinkable!

Boom. A big, fresh, weedy aroma turning to juicy tangerine. Smooth with a mild bitterness amongst the sweetness of the malt. Very good stuff really. Warm in my belly.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber: Aroma is big on hops, and no discernible malt notes in the scent. Appearance is a lightly reddish hue with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is got those hops but more subdued than in the aroma. Palate is medium carbonation with an aftertaste of hard candy and hops. Overall, It’s alright. I don’t like the hops in this one for some reason. Cheers!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Big candy malts and piney hops with a touch of booze. Clearish orange/pink with an off white rich but small head. Big piney hops, with balancing sweet malts but the candy boozy finish is a medicinal. Not bad, but the finish doesn’t sit well with me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 2 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, floral, grass, caramel, toast, toffee, bread, light pine, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and very balanced hop/malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, pine, floral, grass, caramel, toast, toffee, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, pine, caramel, toast, toffee, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish. Good hop balance and complexity; with a moderate malt backbone and minimal cloying bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly slick and sticky mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a solid Double IPA. Good balance and complexity of hop and malt notes; and quite smooth to sip on. An enjoyable offering.
