resin, peaches, caramel i smell. Slightest haze on light amber with lasting white head. The flavors are nicely balanced nicely balanced—resin hopes with a little lemon, the sweets fairly transparent, a hint of smoke. A little light in the mouth. Thin but flavorful finish.

Color is a hazy red. Smells caramel, hops and light on the citruis. Tastes piney, tart and slightly sweet. Pretty mild for a DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650ml bottle pours a deep golden orange color with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves some pretty darn good lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild but pleasant with some grains and citrus and a hint of pine. Taste is dominated by a grapefruit bitterness with some pine underneath followed by a grainy malt sweetness with some lighter sweet fruits underneath. Light to medium bodied with some decent carbonation leaving a nice tingle on the tongue. A highly recommended IPA which is nicely balanced and not too over the top. May not satisfy a true hophead, but still really good nonetheless.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 2 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, floral, grass, caramel, toast, toffee, bread, light pine, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and very balanced hop/malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, pine, floral, grass, caramel, toast, toffee, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, pine, caramel, toast, toffee, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish. Good hop balance and complexity; with a moderate malt backbone and minimal cloying bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly slick and sticky mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a solid Double IPA. Good balance and complexity of hop and malt notes; and quite smooth to sip on. An enjoyable offering.

Bomber. Ruby colored with beige foam. Aroma is a blend of pineapple, tangerine and orange citrus with some malt sweetness at the end. The taste is grapefruit rind, lemon and pine followed by resiny hops bitterness, malt and alcohol at the end. The body is syrupy with soft carbonation and more citrus and leafy bitterness in the finish. Decent although a bit off-balanced.

Cloudy orange color. Average head but solid body. Nice blend of hops for flavor not just bitterness.

Bottle - Big candy malts and piney hops with a touch of booze. Clearish orange/pink with an off white rich but small head. Big piney hops, with balancing sweet malts but the candy boozy finish is a medicinal. Not bad, but the finish doesn’t sit well with me.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orangey amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of rich caramel malts, resinous hops, and some residual sugars. Flavour is very malt-heavy for a IIPA, with loads of caramel malts, some honey, resinous hops and some residual sugars. Much too malty for my liking for a IIPA, but admittedly well-made and not cloying. Good stuff.

Bottle:   Deep dirty amber, large foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Soft hop aroma, slightly sweet, a bit biscuity.   Soft hops up front, not bitter at all, followed by a big sweet malt background.   Towards the end it comes in as very mealy.   Becomes a bit sweaty and dank as it warms.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Lingering mealiness that I cannot shake.   Thankfully its not too lopsided, but could use some more bitterness to counteract the strong mealiness that develops on the backside.   Unlike many IIPAs that seem overdone with hops, this one might be overdone with malts.

Bottle. Was excited to try this until I started reading the reviews. Still glad to try a new one from this local. Pours a medium copper color with a substantial head that holds up ok, and looks good. Aroma is almost entirely sweet malt, which is a surprise. Not bad but a little sweet and almost candy-like. Taste is also sweet malt, and really reminds me of a sweet barley wine. There is some complexity in there, maybe with significant hints of ripe peaches or apricots. The hop bitterness seems to have gone missing until the finish, where it hangs in there with the lingering malt notes pretty well. Overall it’s just out of balance, and while that can work for some beers, it doesn’t with this one.
