2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Big foamy head clear golden pour. Aroma of buttery peaches. Tastes slightly briny with significant buttery resin on the palate. A step up from other two beers products, but still out of balance.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draught at a beer festival. Pours a clear light amber color. Nose is very floral with some grapefruit and resin elements. Taste is light and fresh, and slightly bitter. Really pleasant beer with an amazing aroma.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a golden hue. Lots of hops on the nose and transfers well to the taste. With slight resin and vegetable notes. Really great fresh hop.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
The huge hoppy aroma and gigantic head are the first things that stand out. A delightful mix of pine, citrus, and grass. This carries over to the flavor with a blend of fresh Simcoe, Amarillo, Columbus, Centennial, and Cascade hops. Thankfully, they didn’t ignore the malt as the backbone stands up to the hops. Biting and bitter, as an IPA should be, this celebrates hops without being heavy handed. Although it does pack 70 IBUs and 6.2% ABV.
It’s really, really good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle date: earlier.
A: Pours a copper ale with a finger of creamy white head which falls to a sheet with a central cap over this excellently clarified beer. Rings for lace.
S: Hops a cascadian and centennial. Plenty of the beautiful citric hops. I like that there is a certain element to this which reminds me of flinstones vitamins. A sweet malt lies underneath and is obvious.
T: Bitter and spicy. Nice resin flavor with some grapefruit rind and some grassy flavors. A stong malt presence help balance out the hops here, but not too much. A little more diversity in the hops, and they’ve got a real winner here.
M: Medium bodied with a fine, lower carb and a semi slick finish.
O: As usual, I really like their beers. Glad to have a company in my neck making consistently delicious beer in cans and doing some odd stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber Bottle bought at Champanes,
this ale had a copper pour with some red hue at the edge of the glass, the pour made a three finger creamy, off-white head of bubbles that had a slight orange-yellow color to them, the glass had a little haze and particles in the beer, when the last of the bottle was poured the beer got hazier and had more particles, when the head receded it left some nice lacing, the bottle had a thin layer of sediment,
this IPA had aromas of grapefruit, citrus and grass hops, the hops also were a bit piney and had a guava fruit touch, the malt was in the background, there was faint lemon and orange fruit, and a little malt sweetness,
the flavors had lots of hops, hops were grassy with a bit of pine, grapefruit and lemon citrus, a little toasted malt in the background, there was very little sweetness, the finish had a big hop bitterness and fruit citrus with hop bitterness lingering afterwards,
there were lots of hops on the nose, the malt was in the background, hops were out front in the flavor to, this was a simple IPA with a good hop punch, the hop lovers will enjoy this drink.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Classically good IPA, and the fresh hop angle is not a gimmick. Grapefruit and to a lesser extent pine come out in the flavor, with little resin. Malt base is there but as a supporting cast member to provide balance. Good bitterness but not crazy. And, indeed, the grapefruit and pine flavors from the hops come across as fresh, perhaps in their crispness or clarity. A-

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, six or seven centimetre tall tan head - ridiculous! Aroma of light earthy and slightly floral hops, some light caramel and toffee and a hint of maltiness - fairly light. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hops up front with hints of pine, earth, flowers and a bit of toffee sweetness on the end. Aftertaste shows well with a hint of alcohol, a nice hoppy flavour that isn’t overly powerful and a good sweetness. Overall, a nice beer to try that probably was a bit hoppier when it first arrived here in Alaska! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Brown Jug in Anchorage, Alaska (Northern Lights Blvd) yesterday on 22-May-2013 for US$6.95 sampled in my hotel room here in Anchorage, Alaska on 23-May-2013.
