4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Everything from two beers is quality! This amber is hoppy and perfectly balanced. Having just come from the brewery, I can say this can is ad fresh as the beer at the brewery. It has that caramel malt in ess up front, but the west coast hop presence comes in after the first sip. Cloudy dark amber color.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz can, purchased from Brennanís in Madison during my stay for GTMW. Moderately hazy darker amber color, kind of brown. Good finger of khaki head, with good retention. Leaves good, thicker lace. Some bigger chunks of yeast in the body. Medium body, kind of slick texture. Lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. Caramel malt. Some mild earthy, kind of spicy hop. Light bit of toastiness. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Solid kind of hoppier amber ale.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured out of the can and into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi - clear ruddy amber/brown color with a half finger of white foamy head that dissipated within less than forty five seconds. There is some light clingy foamy lacing around the sides of the glass.
The smell was really caramel malty forward with a light piney hoppiness to it.
The taste was mainly the sweet caramel malts and lightly allowed a light bitter hoppiness underneath.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me with a fairly decent smoothness about it.
Overall, the beer was good for the most part however I seem to be straying from red ales these days.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz can. Amber-brown body. Foamy, glass lacing beige head. Kind of an English ringwood, amber malt thing going on in the aroma. Has some OK hops, but the slick caramel amber malt is not enjoyable at all to me.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can pour. Nice subtle amber notes on the nose. Pours a dark cloudy amber. Smooth with a light amber flavor. I actually quite like this, donít know why the reviews are so bad.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a dark, red hued amber with little head formation and a ring of off white foam. Decent clarity. Some earthy hops and metallic tones; not really impressed. Tastes like watered down cola and over steeped tea. Some hints of crystal sugars in here, but faint. Medium on thin for the style with low carb. Iím not happy with this beer.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rich, hazy amber and light brown coloured body with a rich, two centimetre tall frothy tan head - nice look actually, for the style. Aroma of bread, yeast, malt, caramel and a hint of very light spices, with touches of cardboard noticeable as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Earthy, caramel and cardboardie malt notes with bits of caramel, toffee and touches of cherries. Aftertaste shows more caramel and toffee than anything else with some malt, also. Overall, a decent amber with a decent profile, but not much complexity at all. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska a few days ago on 04-October-2013 for US$1.75 sampled on this side of the country, here at home in Washington on 12-October-2013.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear amber with a small head that fades fast. Aromas of caramel, some biscuit. Bready. Taste is smooth caramel toffee but not sweet, very doughy. Low carbonation. Very similar to a polotmavy. I like this a lot.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 ounce can into pint glass, no canning date. Pours murky red orange color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of orange, grapefruit, caramel, toast, floral, grass, metal, and yeast earthiness. Poor aromas with off notes present, with light malt and hop notes; and weak strength. Taste of caramel, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, toast, bread, grass, light pine, and toasted earthiness. Light pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, citrus zest, toast, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Decent flavor balance of malt and hop flavors; with a watery feel and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very poor amber ale. Watered down and weird balance of flavors; but easily finished.
