Pours black with a tan head. The flavor is straightforward espresso with soft underlying sweetness. Rather one dimensional. Dry roasty espresso finish, maybe a tad thin. bvc (355), Kenmore, Washington, USA

Looks and initially smells like the real deal. Pours black with a dark tan head. Lots of coffee in the nose. First sip was a huge letdown. Mouthfeel was watery, and there was some weird tangy sour taste under the coffee. Finish was actually quite good- long and heavy on the coffee. After a while, I isolated the tanginess and decided it tasted kind of like strawberry ice cream. Thinking in those terms made drinking it a little more bearable, but this was not really what I was expecting. BrewDad (2402), Olympia, Washington, USA

The beer was excellent. I loved the malt and flavors that warmed up well and became even more tasty. New beers from a new place I hope to see them do well. BillKismet (1961), Seattle, Washington, USA
