COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jive is made for those who enjoy life at a more deliberate pace. The earthy-ness of this beer is a tribute to the rich experience of a slow hike in the woods and drinking deeply from nature. Strong and steady malt tones, a subtle coffee and chocolate nose and hops entertain your tongue as you wander down the path. Cheers!

Draught. Pours black with thick beige head. Full aroma is chocolate, coffee and malt. Flavour is restrained, a little coffee, a little malt. Malty finish, fuller than the flavour

This immediately tastes like coffee, but finishes with a sweet aftertaste. It has a sweet toasty aroma with a dark color. Very tasty.

On tap at Malt and Vine. Enjoyable. Pours a near black with a white head the fades quickly. Aromas of roasted malts, caramel and coffee. Taste is quite a bit of coffee, toasted malt and bitter chocolate. Nice smooth palate.

Tap at Naked City. Huge espresso nose. Lots of roast and some underlying sweetness as well. Pours black with a tan head. The flavor is straightforward espresso with soft underlying sweetness. Rather one dimensional. Dry roasty espresso finish, maybe a tad thin.

Draft at Naked City. Roasty, chocolate, nutty, mountain berries. Light body and just not much going on. Really drinkable though and the best Two Beers beer hands down.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2009 On tap at Snoose Junction Pizzeria. Looks and initially smells like the real deal. Pours black with a dark tan head. Lots of coffee in the nose. First sip was a huge letdown. Mouthfeel was watery, and there was some weird tangy sour taste under the coffee. Finish was actually quite good- long and heavy on the coffee. After a while, I isolated the tanginess and decided it tasted kind of like strawberry ice cream. Thinking in those terms made drinking it a little more bearable, but this was not really what I was expecting.

Taster – Washington Winter Beer Festival – Seattle, WA – Great stout with a huge coffee aroma and flavor. The beer was excellent. I loved the malt and flavors that warmed up well and became even more tasty. New beers from a new place I hope to see them do well.

Midnight, dark chocolate body with a crisp milk chocolate brown cream head. Moderate roast barley notes, some coffee grains as well. Well balanced, nice coffee/hop bitterness on finish. Slightly dry. Full-bodied. Tasty stuff.
