Can. It pours a clear, golden body and a small, dense, off-white head. Lightly citrusy nose with some caramel in the back. Some citrus peel and resin in the flavor, and of course bitterness, else its more or less like the aroma, with caramel as a foundation for the hops. Medium body, dry. Not my idea of an American pale ale, but its drinkable and far from foul. 120622

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours Hazy amber with a transient beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel with some herbal/pine. Near full bodied. Flavor is caramel, with some resin and arguably grapefruit rind. Its starting sweet and ending balanced. A strange and confusing situation. In some respects its like a thin barley wine with lots of hop. It drinks quite well.

Bottle. Medium orange amber, sediment delivers a bolus of small particles that stay in suspension. Chunky white head that laces decently. Aroma is pretty muted actually, even after sufficient air time: soapy and grassy notes mix with papery caramel. Caramel base, some light pine and grapefruit (quite light), dry bitter finish ending on a boxboard note.

Bottle:   Darker amber, a little dirty, some chunks settling to the bottom of my glass, moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Soft hoppy nose, malts a little musty, very faint overcooked vegetable.   Not a real hop oriented beer, its there but not very bright.   Remains musty, a little stale and wet hops perhaps, some cardboard.   Luckily any sort of overcooked vegetable is very minor, and only shows up in the back.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   I guess if you dont like too much hops, this would be a paler Pale Ale.   A little off in the nose and on the tongue though, comes across as a bit of a homebrew, well sorta.   Its okay...
