Bottle from H&L, a couple months in the main fridge. Hazy orange pour with a medium, white head which fades quckly to a rim and leaves scant lace. Nose is nutty pumpkin with some nutmeg. Medium body with light carbonation. Pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, light citrus and pine hops. Balance is just about perfect. Finish is more spicy, with lingeribg clove, gibger and cinnamon. A shade too much spice for my tastes, but still very good.

Pours a copper orange color with a light head that faded quickly with little or no lacing. Smells of nutmeg, pumpkin, cinnamon, clove and allspice, cloves are the dominate flavor but also tasted the other spices I mentioned above a little. The pumpkin is hardly noticeable. Mouthfeel is light with little carbonation. This would have been better if they balanced the spices out more.

Bottle:   Orangish side of amber, moderate to large frothy off-white head, strong carbonation, spotty lacing.   Super strong aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon.   Similar tongue, cinnamon and nutmeg.   Pretty simple overall, and strong, so there is no question as to the type of beer this is.   The one thing I do enjoy is that with the sweet spices, it has a fairly thick body.   Finishes clean, with strong nutmeg and cinnamon.   Could use some more Pumpkin Pie like flavors as its pretty simple, but its clean and has a good body.   Enjoyable local pumpkin for sure.

Beerman6686 (4302) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2012
This poured a darker yellow to orange with a white head. aroma was bland caramel and toffee malt, with light spice int he back. Flavor was much the same, light and bland but not offensive.

Rated two nights ago as part of our annual pumpkin beer night. Bomber. Pours hazy pumpkin orange with a collapsing off-white head. Aroma is full of pumpkin pie spices with actual pumpkin in there. Taste is full of pumpkin pie spices, apples. Body is a little thin. Nice flavor, despite its flaws.

CampesinoTino (757) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Bomber. Orange and amber colored in appearance with a cap of beige foam. The aroma is a blend of nutmeg, allspice, clove and pumpkin puree. The flavor begins with lots of cinnamon, ginger and clove upfront along with a bit of roasted pumpkin and brown sugar. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with significant carbonation while the finish is a hodgepodge of dessert spices. Overall, the spices dominate while the pumpkin flavor is very mild. Interesting but a little goes a long way.

22 oz. bottle- Pours slightly hazy orange with a thin white head. The aroma is real pumpkin, spices are there, but there is a nice real pumpkin flavor. The taste is the same, vegetal and nice and pumpkin tasting, spices for the style are there too. The body is medium, carbonation is medium high. Overall I liked it, if not a little basic.

Bomber from Marketime. No head on this beer. The head consisted of a few lingering carbonation bubbles. Nothing impressive to look at here. Pungent cinnamon and nutmeg aroma. Bits of clove pop throughout the smelling experience. Bits of pie crust, and canned pumpkin come through, as well. Decent aroma, I must say. Wow, the nutmeg and cinnamon bust through, and a lingering cinnamon stick flavor just coat the top of my mouth and donít go away. Iím borderline upset with the flavor profile. Some of the pie crust comes through, as well as the canned pumpking, but in all honestly, the spices dominate, and leave room for much to be desired. Touches of bitterness appear here and there, which is a decent dimension to have. Not really the approach I was expecting, and yet another let down by this brewery. I have yet to be impressed with one of their beers. Seriously, guys, what the heck is going on over there?

Draft at brewery. Average at best for a pumpkin ale. Why? Non-offensive aroma, appearance and flavor. Pours a medium brown...yes a medium brown. No distinctive colors or highlights. A quickly dissipating half inch head. Aroma is fairly neutral, although the spices do present themselves as an afterthought. Typical pumpkin beer spices. Mouthfeel is relatively high on carbonation giving a sensation of a dry beer. Malt does not make an impact, no distinctive hop profile. Aftertaste is slightly astringent. Slight vegetal flavors. This is one of those unfotunate instances of a beer that is inbetween. I really wish there was more body, a higher gravity, and well....more pumpkin. With all the great pumpklin beers out on the market now, itís tough to compare.
